Still holding your Scientex? or have you sold?

I sold. A combination of a sinking market and expected less than stellar QR meant I chose to protect the capital & profits by going to cash for the period.
In terms of the QR being the lowest in the past 4Q, I was right. In terms of how the price would react, I was wrong.

Anyway, if this keeps continuing.. surely then it has to be reclassified as a property stock. ( harlo MSing Mark II?)

In terms of continued growth, I suspect there isn't much headroom for growth in their traditional plastics segment. This means in the pursuit of growth, expansion into a different sector becomes a bigger priority and this is where property is taking over. Property has better margins anyway. It's the conglomerate route.

The price jump continues to puzzle me though. With the weaker set of numbers we'd usually expect the price to tank a bit but the opposite happened.

The problem is property counters don't carry valuations well above its assets value...in this sense, the current valuation for the stock is crazy... for me, I would have exercise extreme caution if I hold the stock...

Best way to say I agree is me exiting last week.
Have trimmed down my Bursa holdings by a fair margin. When talking about valuations, this is up there but I feel the Tech counters take the cake.

Hahaha.... yes... tech valuation is rather high... but this was something that hadn't sit right with me for this stock.
The property sector is contributing more and more... and if that's the case, why is the stock trading way above its NTA (which is less than 2)
doesn't make sense to me all this while...

if you ask me, the boss here should wise up to this issue...
and perhaps split the property division from its core manufacturing business. (plus its property sector is not known for its quality)

Anyway this year foresee the downtrend of US stock going to continue with a lot of yoyo up and down, Malaysia also cannot escape. Coming March has to watch out and reserve more cash.

3) Yup, in my paper trade at this point, I have wrote in my 555 book, to exit on weakness.
