If they took back the old one, then might be some issue with it. Cause I think I misplaced the old router.

Now I'm using Asus one. But the signal seems a bit weak on 2nd floor...

Yes, the 5 ghz offers faster speed, can reach almost max of 50 DL / 20 UL

But signal might not be as strong as the 2.4 GHZ.

sometimes in toilet, the 5 ghz only 1 bar but the 2.4 ghz still full bar

But the 2.4 ghz can still reach sometimes up to 40DL and 20 UL

All this based on 1 day of usage only.

interesting, 24Ghz should be able to reach the same speed as well, 50Mbps is still within the 2.4Ghz speed capacity range

I have tested 2.4GHz and 5GHz in Singapore.
2.4GHz can get speed up to 90Mbps and 5GHz can get speed up to 300Mbps.

its common wifi characteristic....

higher band signal able to carry data at higher speed....but the signal wavelength is shorter...hence shorter wifi signal distance.....

unless your router have removable antenna, u can install higher gain antenna to recover the distance loss....

Guys, just recheck again on 6 March 2017 for the surprise. Guess it still remain the same, either Webe or Jumbo pack.

I did have a chat on Live chat, they mentioned my area doesn't support 50Mbps. hmm.gif

Are they trying to twist and turn?

*P/S: I remove the name to avoid any issue later.

Yeah, I know.
I am using the internet alone most of the time. Not sure if spending the extra RM30 a month will satisfy me.
Moreover, Advance30/50 got no more free calls to TM numbers.
