LF suggestion here for new CPU Mobo Ram

Current dying spec

Cpu - i5 2400
Mobo - Gigabyte
Ram - 8gb ddr3
Gpu - Gtx 1050ti
Drive - Ssd+hdd
Psu - Seasonic bronze
Monitor - 1080p

Budget 1k

Usage - some basic stuff, games LOL and warframe

[Purpose] mostly gaming and online

[Hardwares that will be re-use]
- psu -cm gx II 650w bronze. Still acceptable for new rig? If not just give me good psu.
- Hdd - from old rig.
- monitor and keyboard

[Monitor resolution] 1080p

[Games & softwares that use frequently] dota 2, pubg, cs go and some AAA in 2018.

[Personal preferences] can play high setting on AAA game consistent 60fps.

[Location] shah alam

Dont know ryzen or intel can better in the long term use. Pls give good suggestion. Thanks sifu smile.gif

Noob here, currently having ideas of assembling a pc myself for the first time. Also, seeking to install hardware compatible with linux distro.

[Purpose] : running heavy data processing, GIS based software, large excel files with macros, online streaming and etc. High-end gaming, not likely.

[Hardwares that will be re-use] : None

[Monitor resolution] : 1080p (ideally, but not important)

[Games & softwares that use frequently] : Productivity software MS office, Libre Office, QGIS, Anaconda IDE, Data analytic softwares (For running few large softwares & heavy background processing)

Mobo - MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon
RAM - G. Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB (8GB x 2) 3200Mhz
PSU - Corsair HX650 (Old Part)
SSD - Samsung 500GB 960 EVO M.2,

Yeah. Coz not all shops in Kuching would have the specific models. So I provide a list of recommended specs and hope you can find the suitable parts for your budget.
