Hey guys, looking for a laptop that's able to run photoshop and illustrator smoothly. Best if it's lightweight. Budget maximum 5-6k. Any recommendations?

Hey sifus,

I'm having issues with fps when playing Diablo 3.

I get about 90fps when playing solo but get about 20-30fps when playing with 4 man group.

Tried to open MSI Afterburner to see how the game is running in 4 man group but my fps drops to 10 and pc starts freezing until i close afterburner.

PC specs

Ryzen 5 2400G
Asrock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac
MSI GTX 1060 6GT OCV2
GSKILL Ageis 2x4gb 2400mhz

Is it my settings or do I need to upgrade my pc?

In game settings for Diablo is all low or off

Definitely should not be hardware issue. Well over recommended system requirements.

Please check your drivers (clean install the driver) or malware. It may be chipset issue if you change from Intel to AMD without clean install of windows too.

They are more or less the same depending on the models. EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 is a pretty popular one and favored by many though they are pretty hard to get here in Malaysia. Since your friend is in the UK, he could get an EVGA card there and bring it back to Malaysia. They offer global warranty.
*
I'm going to take FTW3 thumbup.gif

Btw how is below specs looks ?

I7 8700
EVGA 1080Ti FTW3
ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING
GSKILL 16GBx4

Not fan of CPU overclocking so just take 8700...
the others like storage and PSU will use the one sifu recommended!

Yeah, definitely need to replace RAM.

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X - 999
Asus Prime B350M-A - 429
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 X2 - 674
Asus Strix GTX 1060 6GB DDR5 DC2 OC - 1399 (optional for future 1080p games)
Corsair TX 650M - 379
Corsair spec case - 279 (optional)

for Intel, switch to these:
Core i5-8500 - 785
Gigabyte B360M-D3H - 369

C-Zone prices.

Thanks Tristan for the part suggestion.

I planning to get a new rig from idealtech. I aws thinking for a long time about this. As i checked online, majority of people would suggest to get i5-8400 for value. However, most of them suggest to get i5-8600k for long term investment.

I thought of getting i7-8700 at 1st but they said if i OC i5-8600k, it will par with it. I believed this will be my 1st time getting a OC cpu.

I'm planning to increase my budget to 5k-5.5k instead. Currently, looking at i5-8600k and 1070 ti.
I got the SSD & HDD already. Do you think my current new budget is good enough to get best of them?

[budget]5k-5.5k

[cpu] i5-8600k
[mbo]
[mem]
[gpu] Gigabyte windforce GTX 1070 ti?
[psu]
[case] Maybe sharkoon DG7000-G, may get higher if within budget.

[additional info]
Will still use same 1080p monitor, don't have enough budget to upgrade. Mainly for playing games, including total war.

Thanks all!

Yeap the specs looks good! Do get an aftermarket cooler for the cpu if you like cause it’ll get pretty toasty with the stock cooler.

Intel K series will need cooler and Z370 motherboard for overclocking. Z370 is more expensive. i7-8700 has better future proofing due to HT. It has shitty cooler though.

Yup. This is what I will suggest for a rig.

Gaming only = Intel
Gaming + Streaming = AMD
Gaming + heavy work = AMD
