Hi Sifus,

Just a quick question but not about rig..
using A4 4000 with 16G RAM, SAPPHIRE R9 270X, if i change to A10 6800K, will there be obvious performance improvement?

CPU Utilization always 100% when i just open 1 VM cry.gif

They are more or less the same depending on the models. EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 is a pretty popular one and favored by many though they are pretty hard to get here in Malaysia. Since your friend is in the UK, he could get an EVGA card there and bring it back to Malaysia. They offer global warranty.
*
I'm going to take FTW3 thumbup.gif

Btw how is below specs looks ?

I7 8700
EVGA 1080Ti FTW3
ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING
GSKILL 16GBx4

Not fan of CPU overclocking so just take 8700...
the others like storage and PSU will use the one sifu recommended!

Yeap the specs looks good! Do get an aftermarket cooler for the cpu if you like cause it’ll get pretty toasty with the stock cooler.

Unless you already have the CPU, dont waste money on chipset getting phased out. TRX40 is the new one.
*
Planning to get it...

no point get the TRX40 n processor oso... 3900x more than enuf for most of the things liao lo.. disappointed by this TR
*
Confused!

So which one should i get ?

Choosing the MEG X3999 is because having 16+3 phase!

Which TRX40 MB have the equivalent phase? Gigabyte AORUS Prime ?
Asus ? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Tr 2990wx lose to mid tier epyc 2 n xeon silver 4114 rig at big margin..
*
For gaming and own VM bro... that's why i also need huge RAM, so i need a 8 slots of dimms.

who says Xeon not for desktop? many of them are for desktops. that's why they're called workstation processors...

ur budget 10k is for whole rig for only for mobo + CPU?
*
But xeon for gaming too ? sorry the wording maybe have some misunderstood. lol

10k for mobo+cpu+gpu+ram+psu

But i think i will use more than 10k la... cos if i need 128GB ram... already around 3k
lol

QUOTE(nrw @ Feb 12 2020, 10:37 PM)
1) Unless you really don't want the chipset fan go with the Master instead.
2) The PSU is overkill and despite being Platinum there are better ones around.
3) Go For a 2080 Super wink.gif / 2080ti if you splurge on pretty much anything else.
4) Stick with his AIO suggestion.
5) Those 32GB sticks come at the expense of timing/latency. No idea what you'll be doing with that system... but a nice 4x16GB kit might be the better choice.
*
1 ) Yeah want to go with the AIO...
2 ) just seeing it's having nice outlook XDD
3 ) Super and Xtreme.... whats the main difference ?
4 ) Actually did bought the Cooler already. haha nvm can sell and buy the Corsair one rclxms.gif
5 ) Sometimes to install VM for own usage icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(nrw @ Feb 12 2020, 11:40 PM)
2080 and 2080 Super are two different tiers. 2080 "Super" has more cores etc...
While the "Extreme" is just the branding of Gigabyte.

If you already bought the AIO use it, not worth selling and buying the difference between those two.

Pretty sure 64GB would do but alright, no idea how you wanna configure your VM's.
*
I see! i googled..and yeah!
Let's change to 2080 Super rclxms.gif

Cos i am doing IT work, so most of the times i will need like few VM with huge ram running the same time....haha

QUOTE(TristanX @ Feb 13 2020, 12:02 AM)
Like I said, up to you. If you want extreme motherboard with extreme price, be my guest. Gigabyte X570 Aorus Extreme is overkill type of motherboard. Asus X570-E and Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master is already plentiful. I'd prefer Asus X570-E due to better BIOS. Aorus Master comes with better heatsink design, extra M.2 slot but less 2 SATA port.

RTX 2080 Super is better than that Gigabyte graphic card.

As for the power supply, get either Corsair, Super Flower or Seasonic. 850W is already more than enough.
*
Thx Bro!
Let me go and google now~~~~~ thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif
