Never had any personal RMA experience but my friend RMA’d his Zotac through E Tech and it took about 3 weeks to get this gpu back.
Good to hear on the fast RMA process [OFFICIAL]Rig Suggestion Q&A Thread V13!

Processor: Ryzen 5 2600 - RM 758
Motherboard: ASRock B350 Pro 4 - RM 390 RAM: Patriot Viper RGB 16GB (2x8GB) DDDR4-3200MHz Performance RAM - RM 750 GPU - Asus Strix GTX 1060 6GB - RM 1266 HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM - RM190 Casing: Segotep LUX II RGB - RM190 Power Supply: Corsair CX650M Semi Modular PSU - RM 310 Total RM 3845 Usage : office work, game such as upcoming monster hunter world My question is, I need suggestions on which area to cut corner/improve, as my initial budget is around 3500 but right now seems to be way more than my initial budget. Is 16gb RAM a must for gaming purpose these days or I can go for 8gb RAM at lower speed? Is it recommended for me to do so and add on RM 80 for TX650 PSU? Thanks Well, performance RAM is more expensive. You can save by going regular RAM. You gonna lose a bit of performance though. Switch the graphic card to Galax at RM1199. PSU, you can go Corsair VS 450 at RM159. Prices from C-Zone. Kindly take note power supply quality is also lower for low budget ones. |

QUOTE(Kristal.S @ Jul 30 2018, 05:11 PM) 16GB ram isn't a must for gaming. 8GB is the minimum requirement so you're good to go with 8GB if you're looking to save some money. After all, you can upgrade to 16GB in the future when you have more savings and when you feel the need. Thanks guys, will look into this.As for PSU, if you're getting 8GB only then you can consider using the 'saved' money to top up to get a gold rated PSU as higher grade PSU usually runs cooler and last longer. |

Guys, would like to have a helping hand here. Recently I've checked out Idealtech and wanna get them to build me up a gaming rig, but I'm not too confident with the choices made, my choices are as follows :-
Processor : Coffeelake/8th gen if can, if my budget is too low, then 7th gen will do GPU: GTX1070ti As for others such as mobo, PSU, sound cards etc, that's where I got stuck because I know that if i buy the wrong motherboard or PSU, it would mess up my performance. I can only sure to which certain extent I want my graphic cards & CPU to be at, but I'm not sure about the others(especially power supply & mobo). Budget: RM5k - RM6.5k(max). Exclude mouse & keyboard/headset. Edit: Main purpose :- Mostly for triple A title gaming, and to make a transition from my crappy lappy for a long time now Thanks This post has been edited by Kanan Jarrus: Aug 2 2018, 05:15 AM |

QUOTE(Kristal.S @ Aug 1 2018, 11:43 AM) Yes they are located in Kepong. If Digital Mall you could check out Czone. Just show them the suggested parts Hi,Hmmm, any other preference in monitor? Do you need 144hz monitor or you prefer IPS + 60hz? Thanks for the reply. Just want your thoughts on this: Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core Processor - MSI - Z370 GAMING PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard - GALAX GTX1060 3GB | 6GB OC - CORSAIR D4 PC2400 VENGEANCE LPX 8GB - Segotep GP 500W - Western Digital - Blue 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive - SEAGATE BARRACUDA DESKTOP - TECWARE EGDE TG ATX BLACK - Prices should be similar to the one you recommended but are there any significant performance difference? As for monitors, I am assuming the 144hz is a TN model? Which one would you recommend for the budget ? I read that TN monitors are better for gaming due to faster response speed. Thanks |

QUOTE(Kristal.S @ Aug 3 2018, 09:19 AM) Ryzen is good and value for the money for productivity. But in terms of gaming, Intel still gives better performance. If you're upgrading for gaming and usual daily youtube streaming, I still suggest Intel. But if you're using it for 3d rendering or what not, then Ryzen. Ryzen isn't far behind when it comes to gaming performance. |
