okay. now i understand. i'm thinking to buy corsair af120 quite edition dual pack. so, i can just use spliter only right?

Yes, spliter for 2 fans is fine. As long is within 1A.
May I know your budget for case fans, because there is other fans perform better than this. Because that's a 3 pin, as might well get a 4 pin PWM fans.

CRYORIG QF120 Balance 120mm PWM fan < RM 49 each you may get from linglong.

Hello all, please help to recommend me a build with the below budget,

[Budget]
MYR 3500 (CPU only)

[Purpose]
FPS gaming

[Hardwares that will be re-use]
N/A

[Monitor resolution]
1440p

[Games & softwares that use frequently]
Overwatch

I3 7100
Asus H110M-K
ADATA 8GB 2400Mhz
Seagate 1TB
GIGABYTE GTX 1050Ti OC 4GB
Segotep 500W 80+ Gold
Aigo Starship 2 Black
Acer KG240A (144Hz+1ms)

RM3304

A good 2K monitor roughly rm2k, if u take a 2K monitor, ur remaining budget for pc will be around rm1.5k, which is not advisable.

Since u r playing Overwatch, refresh rate and response time are more important than resolution. can take Acer KG240A, the cheapest 144Hz+1ms gaming monitor in the market.

Bacause Intel charging ridiculous amount of money that doesn't perform much more. On top of that, Ryzen 5 1600 will rollover i5 when apps and games utilizes the extra cores and threads. As of today's prices, if I would build a new PC. It will be AMD as well.

If you insist on Intel, then you can go for these

Core i5-7400 - 780
Gigabyte B250M-D3H - 449
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2133 - 260
Zotac GTX 1060 3GB DDR5 - 979
WD Blue 1TB - 210
Corsair VS 550W - 248
Tecware F3 case - 124

RM3050 total

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - RM 1039
ASRock AB350M Pro4 - RM 399
G.SKill Aegis 16GB (8GB x 2) DDR4 2400MHz RAM - RM 570
Zotac GTX1050Ti 4GB GDDR5 Mini - RM 729
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 219
FSP Hexa+ 450W - RM 185
Tecware Alpha - RM 219
Dell UltraSharp U2917W - RM 1599
Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 75

Total: RM 5034 (ETECH price inclusive of GST)

For 3k budget rig, basically you have to settle with cheap 1080p monitor (~ RM 400), Ryzen 5 1400 (~ RM 820), GTX1050 (< RM 600) etc. The ultrawide monitor jacked up the total price, if you are willing to ditch it then your rig specs will be much better, I would go for this path anytime as price/performance ratio matters the most whistling.gif

For video rendering, you can bump the CPU to Ryzen 7 1700 and use cheap graphic card. There is no gaming involved. Unless the app has GPU based processing.

If you really want GTX1070 then you better hunt for cheap GTX1070 in Garage Sales, they are cheaper than what retail stores are selling currently. But your budget can only fit a cheap 1080p 60Hz monitor if you choose this path, so high chance that your GTX1070 will be heavy underutilized (you can consider using DSR to improve image quality in games since you got a lot of headroom left with GTX1070 on 1080p panel).

The below rig is based on GTX1060, the price referenced is not from Penang, but it should give you a rough idea on the specs and cost needed. Not suggesting any AMD cards here due to low stock status thanks to the active cryptocurrency mining worldwide recently sweat.gif

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - RM 1039
ASRock AB350M Pro4 - RM 399
G.SKill Aegis 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM - RM 285
MSI GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 Tiger OCV1 - RM 1300
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD - RM 474
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 219
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 210
Tecware Alpha - RM 219
ViewSonic VA2419-SH IPS - RM 525
Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 75

Total: RM 4745 (ETECH price inclusive of GST)

If you don't mind you can get G4560 + B250 mobo and 8GB DDR4. Slight improvement, but new parts.

Personal Pick
Intel G4560 = RM 241
ASROCK B250 Pro4 MOTHERBOARD = RM 420
G.Skill Aegis 2400Mhz 2 X 4GB = RM 289

Total: 950
