hi. wanna ask. im using tecware edge with 3 stock fans, but all powered up by molex. so i cant control the speed. the fan sound a bit loud for me. so, i want to controll all 3 fans from desktop. im using asus h110m-k. help pls. i dont know whats the difference between splitter & fan hub.
*
Spilter is you plug more than a single fan into your motherboard hub, not advice to doing that if your total fan rating is more than 1A as the mobo fan header generally only accept below or equal 1A for proper usage.
Fan Hub is a separate device which you plug all your fans into and one of the cable is to plug on your mobo header to send PWM signal, this is powered by the PSU.

IMHO, i suggest you go for fan hub if you have more than 3 fans.

I think yours is a 3 pin, it comes with the case. So you can't control the speed via BIOS/UEFI. If you wish to do so, get PWM fans.

You can read more at Fan Control

but can i control the speed via asus ai suite?(something like that)

and can you suggest me 1-2 fan hub for me?
*
Software control like Asus Suite can control fans, but those are voltage controlled. Between 5v to 12v, the software just regulates how much voltage goes to the fans to control the speed. But you need to plug in the fan connector directly to the fan header. You may use the fan spliter but it will detect as 1 fan.

IF you use FAN HUB, it will fully run the fan in full speed. Unless you get This Fan Hub, which have a switch to manually control the voltage.

Another suggestion is to swap the existing case fans to PWM ones, like the Arctic F12 or other brand you prefer.

okay. now i understand. i'm thinking to buy corsair af120 quite edition dual pack. so, i can just use spliter only right?
*
Yes, spliter for 2 fans is fine. As long is within 1A.
May I know your budget for case fans, because there is other fans perform better than this. Because that's a 3 pin, as might well get a 4 pin PWM fans.

CRYORIG QF120 Balance 120mm PWM fan < RM 49 each you may get from linglong.

actually i love corsair's design, that non-led design.  biggrin.gif but if this cryorig is PWM fan, i'll think about it. thanks  smile.gif

No problem, in the end please put cooling for priority not design smile.gif

Need recommendation for cpu, mobo and ram

Budget 1k

Can get better system compared to my previous i3 4130 +8gb?
*
If you don't mind you can get G4560 + B250 mobo and 8GB DDR4. Slight improvement, but new parts.

Personal Pick
Intel G4560 = RM 241
ASROCK B250 Pro4 MOTHERBOARD = RM 420
G.Skill Aegis 2400Mhz 2 X 4GB = RM 289

Total: 950

How far is the performance difference between these 2 cpu, say for normal browsing and playing dota 2 and csgo. I will pair it with r7 360

And the asrock mobo not too overkill? I just need a simple set up and have no plan for fancy set up like sli

Also tq to both of u
*
Nevertheless, you may pick any H110 boards, if you just want practical usage and don't care about looks. You don't need to SLI because the board has the function :3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DNiHK_7JeM < Here lies the answers you want. Although, may not cover all the games you play. There are also other videos you can make comparison with.

TL:DR : G4560 is enough for your needs, if the games are so graphical demanding, then upgrade your GPU smile.gif

[Budget] RM4,000

[Purpose] Mostly Gaming and some graphic design work

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Monitors , SSD and I just bought a new GTX1070 ITX.

[Monitor resolution] Currently running on 3 Monitors DELL U2417H. 1920x1080 is fine for me.

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Wildlands, Battlefield 1 and Warhammer Total War, sometimes Dota 2.

[Personal preferences] I'm looking to build a MINI CPU for easy traveling and moving. I do move my pc up and down when I go back home for holidays. Found this rig on youtube, the casing looks nice and small. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1zdt2-SJLg )
I'm also looking if possible to add extra fans for it? Since the GPU only has 1 fan.

Hi, Im considering on upgrading my HD6870 card but worried that I will bought a card which will be bottleneck by other hardware of my current system. Frankly speaking, Im considering on HD7970 second hand. But is my system way too outdated and need to be upgraded to play games in ultra setting?

Btw, should I add my ram from 8GB to 16GB? Currently on Windows 10 Pro..

[Budget] Depending on suggestion but would like to put it as low as possible.

[Purpose] Gaming

[Hardwares that will be re-use] FX6300, GA-970A-D3, 8GB, 750 PSU, HDD, and HD6870.

[Monitor resolution] Currently running on 2 Monitors with 1920x1080 and 1600x800 respectively. Gaming mainly on 1920x1080.

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Steam

[Personal preferences] Prefer Radeon but depending on the suggestion. Would like to play most game on ultra setting.

[Location] KL

Thanks in advance!
*
I suggest you hunt for 970 second hand if you really tight of budget smile.gif
GPU can select from RX 580, GTX 1060 or 1070. But due to crypto mining, that card is hard to find, you may go lowyat and hunt for it.
Upgrade 16GB is okay, if you have budget left.

Prices raging from 1.5k ~ 2.3k depend on which brand and which GPU.

So I do not need to upgrade my system for the time being? Wont bottleneck either?

Nvidia is ok? Since my mobo more towards amd?

Sorry if I ask a lot though..
*
Try overclock it? it will reduce bottleneck but still depends on what games you play.
RX 580, and GTX 1060 is a good start for GPU upgrades. [I take back the GTX 1070 recommendation, its not worthy]

Then in future you have budget then only upgrade the rest

having AMD mobo does not mean you stuck with AMD forever smile.gif

I think you can go for pentium g4560 and use the remaining money on gtx 1060 3GB ones. Since, the performance is so close between these two cpus.

For ram I suggest you check with the QVL before purchase.

You can tone down the PSU for like 650W ones.

Yes it's a good buy for a ryzen 5 smile.gif

Sorry what is QVL? Can 650w support OC?
*
650W is enough for all your OC needs.

Support RAM on this mobo : http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Mem...350-gaming3.pdf << thats QVL for RAM since Ryzen is very sensitive towards RAM requirement. So just check first before complaining the SPD ram is not following the spec sheet smile.gif

I was quoted around 3.4k for spec as below. need advice if I should request for any changes and if the price is reasonable as the total seems like slightly more expensive than buying them individually. (feel like assembling myself but cable management is a headache  ohmy.gif )

Ryzen 5 1600
MSI B350 Pro VDG
8gb DDR4 2400
PNY 256 GB SSD
Zotac 1050Ti OC 4gb (not sure if I should change to 1060 6gb)
FSP HyperK 500W 80+ White
Segotep K8

May I know which shop you base from? Because, that price point you can get slightly better parts :3
Just my 2 cents

for Ryzen 1600, with b350 mobo, 1080ti, 1440p UW, what is a good RAM kit to pair it?

GSKILL Flare X 2x8GB DDR4 Black(AMD) 15-15-15-39 2400Mhz
GSKILL Flare X DDR4 3200MHZ (worth the extra?)
GSKILL Ripjaws 8GB DDR4-2800mhz, will this work on ASUS PRIME B350M-A?

would like 2666MHz at least, and read that some RAM can't reach higher than 2133 on Asus Prime B350M-A.
*
Ryzen loves high speed RAM! if you have the budget go for GSKILL Flare X DDR4 3200MHZ.
Otherwise, if you manage find a Samsung B-die ram then it will sure work out of the box.

Adding GTX 1080 is over-budget but IdealTech have one rig @ 7.1k you may check on > Here = the RM 7100 RIG smile.gif

It has all the requirements you need EXCLUDING the 1080, it has 1070 instead. Ideal has its own post sales here you may PM him.
