Grrrrrrrr....I tried to update again and got everything right until it checks for update and asked me not to unplug. Then chehhhhh!! Says not update available. But I'm SURE mine's not the latest firmware.... I want snow effect!!!

try making a call now, then look into the mirror
with you holding the phone
you'll see the snowy effect thru the external display when you are talking over the phone

Hmm are crystal casings useful? what does it look like? @@ my phone has no accessories.. only upgraded the firmware. Even my m2 card has not @@ using 64mb xD ( nth in my phone ftm )

i ready previous post, got some one say once you close the flip(call or not call) also will have the snow effect for few sec then change back to normal one. Mine one is latest FW R1JG001, but the snow effect only appear when i making or receiving call, but didn't have the snow effect when i close my flip. ... still waiting the forumer reply our message... already 2 week :/

Ya, I'd also like to know. No one has answered FOR SURE. It would be nice if all who succeeded in updating their firmware, tell us here if they get the snow effect or not.

As for me, I think there's some problem somewhere and no one can help me...coz I can't update and it couldn't detect that I'm having an old version of firmware...

about de SNOW EFFECT, untill nw no any confirmed answer yet hw it works...i think ntg related to FW, even mine on latest FW, oso dun hav de SNOW EFFECT when flip close....

for me with latest software, the snow effect only when on call...

closed or open, dont appear, only when taking / talking on call...

Hi all,

Would like to ask whether has anyone encountered these probs before with your z610i. If yes, what are the solutions?:
1) I can't play music but once I restart my hp it's OK already.
2) When I finish the step of "Safely Remove Hardware" to remove my hp usb connection from the pc and unplug from the usb, the handphone still does not recognise that I have removed the connection from my pc.
3) There is once I received a message stating that I should register my hp or I will be charged for sms. Then there is a message stating register now? I pressed yes. What is this message for as I am owning an original set?

Anyone with any ideas about the above, kindly leave your comments. Your comments are highly appreciated!

no no, i dun think you would need the latest firmware in order to show the snowy effect.

ummm don't know anything, but me too. i got the msg saying to register my phone on the SE website. But then i don't know what to do and who was it from cause i was msging my friend then it came halfway @@ i clicked NO. Any problems?

I upgraded my FW at the SE Service Center then i got the snow effect when closing the flip. Its not just a software upgrade, its a full software flash, since i fail that SEUS, and my screen wont light up when i open the flip.

Maybe upgrading via SEUS urself differs from upgrading or flashing in a SE Service Centre?

Answer is 'no' to all questions. Coz mine's not ori set so maybe the 3rd won't happen to me but I think for Q1 & 2, it doesn't look ok to me...

Mr.Shiney you get the snow effect only if your call goes thru, if you're just calling but no one picks up, there's no snow effect.
