wah, you really newbie... the "<" or ">" is the direction of the navigation key, the 1 in the middle / round button... os mean "<" its left and ">" is right

once you able to go in, you will be able to see the service menu and service test...

as for software upgrades, used the computer 1 download / install the SE software to connect to the phone and check for lastest firmware...

the good thing about skinning is it is hardly noticeble. i dun think you can actually "replace" it, but simply aply another layer over if the current ones got scratched? correct me if i am wrong.

yes you should download the new firmware to improve performance as well as fix a few glitches.

so u think that if ur phone doesnt give u prob u shall not flash it? im too thinking of updating the FW o not.

Owh. Hmm i haven't update my Firmware yet. Haven't installed all the stuff from the CD. What can you get from the new FW? and what do you lose? ><

firmware flashing normally would solve the tiny miny little buggy problems
(which u hardly notice, tho)

unless your phone is crashed or hang or some major issues
only opt for flashing
else, i dun see a point to flash it, imo

if u think de current FW dint kacau, then no need update de FW lo....i oso din feel much more diff after update de FW...

press C and hold it before you plug the usb cable from your phone to ur pc... ( must hold the C button on this time ) after you plug ur phone usb to ur pc... and wait for the SEUS detect your phone ( the C button must still hold it.. just KEEP HOLD IT ) after the SEUS say start upgrading or something... then only let go the C button... so make it simple..
1. hold your C button when u going to plug in ur phone usb cable to PC
2. KEEP HOLDING THE C BUTTON
3. wait until the SEUS say something like start upgrading or detected, only let go your C button. IF not ... you won't start the FW upgrade.

if your SEUS still cannot detect your phone while u already did it correctly, uninstall the SEUS and Restart your PC , install back again and do it again..

i spend almost 2 hour to figure out how to upgrade the FW through SEUS... GOOD LUCK !! =.=

it should protect the phone from scratches (not major ones i guess)..and if the skin has a lot of scratches u can just peel it off and replace it with another new skin
