Has nothing to do with new government as it’s following the market fuel price.

But the improving exchange rate does contribute to this smile.gif

Hopefully the price for Ron97 would slid further down until it aligns with the real market price. Right now we are still paying above market price for Ron97.

Calculation and table of estimated prices can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/cpYiBN. No guarantees any of the estimates will be correct as the government has been subsidizing the fuel price! The good news is that RON95/Diesel has hit the ceiling and will continue on to be RM2.05 & RM2.15 respectively for the foreseeable future.

If calculating 6/12 to 12/12 cycle (Tuesday to Monday - weekends are using Friday prices), the actual retail price for RON95 & RON97 should be RM2.71 and RM3.01 respectively (±1 sen).

Thus, I estimate that RON97 would go down by 10 sen from last week to RM3.65 (±1 sen).

Note: RON95 will be capped at RM2.05/l & Diesel at RM2.15/l source

2nd Note: Targeted subsidies are on the menu, but it wouldn't be implemented anytime soon. News sources say that the agencies should come up with a proposal within 2 weeks.

Govt really going down on RON97 prices. I guess they are targeting to normalise the prices again to the previous rate i.e currently should be RM3.11

The good news is that RON95/Diesel has hit the ceiling and will continue on to be RM2.05 & RM2.15 respectively for the foreseeable future.

If calculating 27/12 to 2/1 cycle (Tuesday to Monday - weekends are using Friday prices), the actual retail price for RON95 & RON97 should be RM2.99 and RM3.29 respectively (±1 sen).

Thus, I estimate that RON97 would remain the same as last week at RM3.35 (±1 sen).

The good news is that RON95/Diesel has hit the ceiling and will continue on to be RM2.05 & RM2.15 respectively for the foreseeable future.

If calculating 10/1 to 16/1 cycle (Tuesday to Monday - weekends are using Friday prices), the actual retail price for RON95 & RON97 should be RM3.02 and RM3.32 respectively (±1 sen).

Thus, I estimate that RON97 would remain the same as last week at RM3.35 (±1 sen). To be safe, just fuel up today or tomorrow as it definitely won't go down. Govt might just increase the price.

They should have directed those subsidies for a "good and healthy food" for school children nationwide.

It is more worth it as a long term policy, anyway, gov has their own smart asses to decide what's good for the nation.

I guess the G do not want to ruin the festive mood this week.

It would not be a surprise if the price moves up next week.
