Calculation and table of estimated prices can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/cpYiBN. No guarantees any of the estimates will be correct as the government has been subsidizing the fuel price - even RON97! The good news is that RON95/Diesel has hit the ceiling and will continue on to be RM2.05 & RM2.15 respectively for the foreseeable future.

If calculating 3/5 to 9/5 cycle (Tuesday to Monday - weekends are using Friday prices), the actual retail price for RON95 & RON97 should be RM4.22 and RM4.52 respectively (±1 sen). For the first time ever, the petrol subsidy for RON95 is more than RM2.05 - higher than the retail price of RON95!

Thus, I estimate that RON97 would go up by 30 sen from last week at RM4.24 (±1 sen).

Note: RON95 will be capped at RM2.05/l & Diesel at RM2.15/l source

I think there might not be any changes to fuel prices before the next cabinet takes office.

Has nothing to do with new government as it’s following the market fuel price.

But the improving exchange rate does contribute to this smile.gif

Hopefully the price for Ron97 would slid further down until it aligns with the real market price. Right now we are still paying above market price for Ron97.

I guess the G do not want to ruin the festive mood this week.

It would not be a surprise if the price moves up next week.
