Daily petrol price for 30/3 was RM0.88/l - this is lower than the price in the 1980s (RM0.89/l).

Seeing this...

I still remember my teacher told me petrol in earth will be dried up if human didn't control it properly.

But now, the petrol is way too much. biggrin.gif

My estimation: RON95 will be priced in between RM1.28 - RM1.30. Guessing game only, don't shoot me

Calculation and table of estimated prices can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/cpYiBN

If calculating 26/3 to 1/4 cycle (Thursday to Wednesday - weekends are using Friday prices), the actual retail price for RON95 & RON97 should be RM0.94 and RM1.24 respectively (±1 sen).

If we follow the previous Automatic Pricing Mechanism and Sales Tax Act, the government is allowed to "tax" us higher by 58.62sen per litre for petrol products sold.

The Sales Tax (Rate of Tax) Order 2018 which was published on the 29 August 2018,
has set the tax rate for petrol at 60 cents per liter and diesel at 40 cents per liter.
This rate is stated on page 56 & 57 of the order as per document attached.
This is not withstanding any relief given by the government from time to time.

Thanks bro...but judging from how they reduce the lowering...I bet we won't see anything below 1.3 right? hehe

Yes up to a maximum 60 cents per liter

For RON95 it rarely happen for government to collect tax.

But for RON97 which costs around +- 5 cents extra from RON95, but we can see from the retail price that the government collect tax from it.

Any tax analyst here can help to add on?

US and Russia made some agreement to stabilize the oil price right? So will this be the last best price of the era? Lol.
