Not a good time to be honest
The economy is really bad now
Coronavirus outbreak is causing problem
Any government will struggle

Yes, government struggle.
But you know, sometime rakyat will have different perspective.
Especially when they able to announce an extremely low oil price which is irrelevant with their effort. But still, majority thought is their effort.
For me this is called good luck. ohmy.gif

The government will generate less money from oil and gas industry. To prevent deficit I reckon GST will make a come back
*
Yep, GST is actually good.
1st, it is a fair system. And it will generate a lot of country income.
2nd, Chinese will not delusion about they are they only one who paying taxs. This can some how create less hatred between Chinese and Malay.

Is a one bird multi stone stuff.

Too bad PH has been demonized GST for long. It will be a hard implementation.

Well if they want to re-implement GST then they need to follow Singapore's model to reduce company/business and personal income tax. Can't be squeezing more and more from the citizen and business while they are bloating the civil servants headcount
*
Yep, back in BN era. They actually did it. Just that the reduction is soooo tiny.
I think they ain't so stupid that only re-implement GST but not reduce other taxes like income tax.

Daily petrol price for 30/3 was RM0.88/l - this is lower than the price in the 1980s (RM0.89/l).

Seeing this...

I still remember my teacher told me petrol in earth will be dried up if human didn't control it properly.

But now, the petrol is way too much. biggrin.gif

Not way too much, because of high supply

high supply = too much.

The demand should have same or higher compared with 20,30 years ago.
