AFAIK, subsidy is from gomen coffers, not petrol company bear.

Anyway, the PM did request additional budget a few weeks back. Does it have any relations to this sudden gift to the rakyat?

Normal bn tactics. They want to create a feep good factor to boost their confidence.

Expected they will continue to press petrol price down in the coming weeks or months

As of now I can only calculate as usual, as I don't know how the government will dole out their subsidy for the fuel - or even until when will the subsidy continue, so I shall give the following scenarios on page 1 moving forward. The following prices are using Wednesday fuel price for reference.

If no sudden subsidy
RON95 ▲ 8 sen to RM2.28
Diesel ▲ 9 sen to RM2.27

If maintain current subsidy
RON95 ▼ 2 sen to RM2.18
Diesel ◆ at RM2.18

Or peg at current prices
RON95 ◆ at RM2.20
Diesel ◆ at RM2.18

Anything goes for now!

MYR strenghtening (?) could be the reason? Or that has taken into account when determining fuel price?

So means supposingly March 29 should be 2.20 -> 2.30
end up unchanged at 2.20 (aka subsidy 0.10)
current forecast is if no subsidy = 2.28 (-0.02), or 2.18 (if subsidy same), or 2.20 (subsidy can reduce 0.02)
