most probably my manual driving skills is bad.  sad.gif  i've just drive for a month.

i pump full tank when it starts blinking, usually around 75-80. by the time i pump petrol, it is average 420km.

Have your car reach 1k mileage yet? I feel my FC improving in each fuel up... currently clocked at 7k, not sure is because I'm more adapt to the MT or engine running in..

Like our Boss said, drive gently with eco-light to assist you. The best I had is 16.4 (full highway) and worst is 12.8 (speed 140-150 highway with some city mix with 4 person onboard)

The car is quite good at masking the acceleration especially the almost non-existence engine sound below 2k RPM makes you feel the car is not accelerating, while in fact it was accelerating normally, the same acceleration pace can be felt obviously in Myvi.

I mean totaled fuel topped up is 42.39L, in multiple refueling la rclxs0.gif  for 450KM Odometer.

Try calculate in each fuel up, this way you will get more accurate reading... multiple fuel up often lead to less accurate reading which I wasn't sure why...

Just bought the new persona 1.6 Standard... currently in 450+KM,
anyone having this issues?
1)Car jerking at low gear, speed around 0-20km/hr.
2)Delayed car movement, rpm rev up but car doesn't move, sometimes move at 1000rpm (Breaking around 750rpm... unbreak goes to 1000rpm).. sometimes at 1500rpm(when light gas pedal)... sometimes the whole car doesn't even moved when the engine is screaming at 2000rpm(hard gas pedal).... same goes to reverse gear....

My only logical explanation,
1)The lost of power could be due to electrical stability/current/voltage issues when engine rev up took power and gear losing engagement.
(Anyone tried with grounding cables/voltage stabilizer?...does it void car warranty?)

2)The ECU unit is badly tuned where most cars would had (Gas Pedal>Gear engagement>Engine Rev).... whereas the persona might have (Gas pedal>Engine Rev>Gear engagement).... (Anyone tried ECU tuning before? How much would it cost? Will it void car warranty?)

For the CVT response you may try this CVT Adaption, some owner find this helpful.

Last refueled full tank was RM75/32.6L and ran total of 280KM on the meter,
one bar left on the fuel meter,
just refused to full tank again this morning at the same RM75/32.6L with the same BHP station to eliminate any inconsistancy.

BTW, my old 16year old wira, tried on all different fuel brands, and found out BHP have greater power and mileage than others,
anyone tested it out on New Persona?

Well said. For those who want to know the car power, this is the paste and cut from motoring-malaysia.blogspot.my -

"We even managed to hit 200km/h on a downhill bit slipstreaming the lead car (an Inspira 2.0). It would max out somewhere close to 190kmh which is quite normal for a 1.6liter car with an automatic (CVT) transmission with a certain amount of horsepower and torque."

I hope admin won't delete this post because it would be sad to see our friends here got killed just to prove the car power.

Last year my neighbor son got killed because he likes to speed, leaving behind 2 young kids and a wife who doesn't look very employable. Now grandpa needs to continue working to support the extra mouths. In a way, it is lucky that the son got killed on the spot. You think it is funny to be paralyzed or be minced?

Old goat here been driving for 40 years. Only got a few bumper kissing - only once by me!

Remember - you die never mind but don't hurt others.

Lastly, I would like to add to the good, bad and ugly -

Worst: be paralyzed or be minced and then spend his/her time here telling us not to speed. Haha!

I'd go with this too. IMHO, pointless pushing a car that's not really meant to be taken past its 'comfort zone'.
Stats & figures don't mean anything especially with a stock 'family-friendly' sedan.
Each to his own, I guess. blink.gif

oldgoat well said, but nowadays younger generation always tends to drive faster and faster, perhaps one reason is modern car's higher torque and hp, also the thought of there's abs, airbag, vsc, ebd protecting me...
could u imagine lady colleague in my office used to driving 140-150km/h on her way to damansara? those are not even straight highway for speeding (ala Elite, NS highway), but now she already changed after met some accident back then.

If old goat here driving 140-150km/h to damansara, old goat telur will surely hilang! Scared to die? Not really lah, only scare to get paralyzed and then have to employ maid to cuci buntu* (mine, not hers).

Kancil have all those ABC & XYZ things? Yet I see those cars speeding along the Sg Besi toll and Seremban toll. Like the Chinese saying- rushing to die!

Have you ever witnessed a fatal accident as it happened? Do you know the color of our brain spilled onto the road? Pink and it look like smashed watermelon!

I often drove inside the Smart Tunnel. Its speed limit is 50 or 60kph yet cars are speeding more than 100kph and some are also without their headlights on! Should we be good citizens and follow the limit and caused chain collision? So, I have no choice but to driove above the limit but not that high.

Hi Guys!
Got my CVT Premium yesterday from Jalan Ampang showroom.
This is my first car and am very proud for that. However, I have a small problem. When I play songs over Bluetooth, the treble makes a bad screeching sound always. But when I'm Aux cable, no such sound and all perfect.
My phone plays Bluetooth over other speakers prefectly fine. Which makes me think that there must be something wrong with the Bluetooth receptors in my car?

Anyone can help me understand what this might be?

Thanks!

Fill in 26.8l Ron95 today,
Rawang ~ Batu Gajah Perak Highway
Batu Gajah ~ Rawang Old Road

Travelled 380KM, 2 bar left. Fuel estimation when filled in is around 34.28l, fuel left after travel 11.428l (2bar). 34.28l-11.428l = 22.852 fuel used.

380KM/22.852= 16.6KM/l

Can get a better figure when next service is perform. Currently clocked at 9.1K KM and I feel like the engine sound is harsh, maybe the oil changes is due.

15.9KM/l is quite good. I guess 17KM/l is achieveable if I'm not fooling around when going back home and also I was ferrying 4 full size adult including me, which make the car weight around 1.5 tonne.

Hi nejordida,

Are you using iPhone? i have the similar problem with my iPhone 6S playing on several car audio as well (via Bluetooth audio streaming). The treble end tends to distort and it's really annoying to the ears. It happens to my old Waja (using Exora double DIN HU) as well as some other friends' cars. So I end up playing those music through the AUX cable which is fine but have to bear with extra cable. However when I play the same thing on my house Bluetooth speakers (Philips), they played very well without that annoying distortion.

Seems like not many ppl are bothered with this issue, no? hmm.gif

Don't understand how you calculate it. How did you get the 34.28L? And how do you know 2 bars represent 11.428L? From my experience with a few cars, the fuel sensor and gauge are not linear actually. The first few bars will last longer than the last few.

Anyway to get an accurate calculation, why don't you just fill up full tank again? That would be your fuel consumed for 380KM.
