Periodic Inspection message
user posted image
OMG OMG OMG What is this Periodic Inspection? Why like that? what to do? Problem again?
>>Its perfectly fine, our baby just seeking for some attention, usually came at 500km before service due or date, whichever comes first
QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Apr 4 2017, 09:30 AM)
Periodic inspection msg is NOT A WARNING. But A REMINDER.

I noticed that when something different appeared at that tiny LED panel beside showing the normal status (like gear mode,  FC level/distance)  ... many drivers felt panicky and think something is going south / wrong. hahha...

Wow...really early to introduce V2. Usually start new thread when there's already 125 pages.

But good to see some updated info on the first page.
*
Due to previous TS is not active handling the thread and might not own the car as well, so I've decided to start V2 early with more updates. Special thanks for support from Boss262 and Chinifity thumbsup.gif

CVT premium here. My FC is about 12.5im/l 100% highway. Daily travel 100km++ around 120-140km/h

Good or bad?
*
Cruising at 120-140 will be fuel consuming... and it also depends how frequent u travelled at 140km/h
The last time I'm cruising at 130-140 got me a 12.8km/l
But I wouldn't say this is bad... its quite average.. because at this speed its not meant for fuel economy anymore...

Next time try 90-110km/h, the fuel consumption will improve a lot.

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Feb 21 2017, 11:35 AM)
Wow. Out of 10 cars, 4 are MT! That's more than I thought.
Having said that, I wonder how does the clutch play? Is the clutch pedal heavy?
My bro got a Satria Neo R3 and the clutch is very tight/heavy. I got an injured left knee so I didn't drive it. Having said that I'm interested to replace my Persona Elegance AT with this new Persona. If the clutch is light like Japanese car (e.g. Insipira 1.8MT) then it's not too bad...maybe my knee can handle it.  hmm.gif
*
Now is 5 out of 14 is MT... seems like quite a lot MT driver waited for this car for quite some time... I remember Bezza barely see 1 MT driver even after their page reaches 100

The clutch is one of the lightest clutch I've ever encountered compare to other MT I've driven, the bite point is slightly higher compared to other MT... but can easily get used to it after a few drive.
Never try Inspira before.. you may consult Quazacolt as he tried both Persona 2016 and Inspira 1.8 MT before... not sure if he still remember thou whistling.gif

clutch wise both abg adik.

pedal positioning and gating, mine is modded.
if i may say, stock vs stock, overall persona's getrag > inspira/lancer's aisin.

Just pickup my new car yesterday, got to drive it briefly and notice that you need to press more on the paddle to feel the brake actually grip compare to my old car. is this normal for new car?

also not used to the response of CVT gear box yet, can feel lag response  sweat.gif

I saw this in V1 thread for the tint spec for SafeTint,

did you guys change / add other layer of tint for your car?

Added.

For the brake, not sure about CVT, my MT brake is indeed need to press more compared to my other cars, but once the brake "bite" its braking power is quite strong yo... Old Persona and Saga FLX you need to slam quite hard to have this kind of braking power. You'll get used to it quickly.

As for CVT response.. that's out of my reach

Thanks for the explaination , i agree with you ..

Can advise what are the disadvantages of upgrading to 16" with wider tire ? like effect on FC and other things
*
Talking about affecting FC, I don't think its significant enough you can see the differences.

Don't forget after your tire diameter got larger, you may need to add some to your mileage too when doing manual calculation because your wheel just turn slightly lesser for the same distance driven...

But anyway... its too insignificant that you actually don't have to care so much about it... Janji heppi sudah rclxm9.gif

When my tire worn out I may put up a 185/60/15 to see if the ride more comfy... and mayb speedo become more accurately reflecting the actual speed my gps showing tongue.gif

Btw does the rattling sound happened again after so many days fixed from Cose ?
*
The rattling noise at passenger side from before has completely vanished.

But...

New rattling noise like somewhere in the stering or cluster meter appear pula doh.gif

Will this solve the issue 100% on the rattling sound by dashboard? Previously send my car to SC to fix the issue, however after a month, the problem comes back.
*
So far those installed this didn't complain anymore... but if the rattling is not caused by the dashboard like wires... then it cannot solve

Regarding your rattling dashboard, is it the same noise as previously before sending to SC? because such a coincidence mine also sent to SC fix, previous sound at passenger side is no more, but new sound appear... sounds like something inside the dashboard is knocking the plastic or what which no longer at passenger side like I previously had, its more on driver side or behind HU

*
You mean sound warning when door is not properly closed while car still moving?

I never encounter before, but the multi-info meter will show which door is not properly shut.

I don't know any of you has this problem
After my first 1k service , the car drinks petrol like water.
My FC is very bad. It's like rm80 can only give me 300-320km only before it start showing me the orange color indicator

I am sending my car to sc on Monday to have them check on the ECU.

By the way, any sc that allows us to bring own engine lub?
*
300 to 320 full tank is in what kind of driving condition? if assuming u used RM80 of ron95 to travel only 320km, that convert to a 9.2km/l... that's pretty bad unless you're on 100% city drive with speed not more than 50km/h and lots of jam...

i am surprised after reading these issues...i was a proton preve cfe 2012 owner which i sold last year..the same issues of the throttle response was poor and it needs a second or two to respond , rattling sounds all were in my preve and more than that..

i am surprised the new persona has it.. the lag i think its due to the cvt , the engine (campro or so called vvti engine) has never been economical when new..after more mileage only it can become better..i have used the previous persona also..not so economical..
*
In my opinion this Persona FC actually not bad for this weight and this engine...

Compared to my Myvi 1.3 MT which has mileage 200k, the Myvi is getting around 15-16km/l FC meanwhile this new Persona MT is getting around 14km-15km/l similar drive which not bad considering this car is about 200kg heavier than Myvi with bigger 1.6 displacement engine and still below 10k mileage.
My Iswara 1.3 MT only getting 11-12km/l

City drive 70percent. Mostly 60kmh to 90kmh
When I got the car new, the FC is far better than this.

Better get them to check on this...
Oh.. and for the engine lube, I heard if at proton authorized service centre they won't allow this... meanwhile those 3rd pt proton service may accept it.

I see. Any 3rd party proton service centre that can recommend? Will this give proton excuse to void our warranty if service there?
*
Can't comment on this... never been to any 3rd pt b4...
Bringing own lube is always not recommended by Proton, only at 3rd pt they may let you do this... Your warranty less likely getting void if 3rd party agree to use lube u brought your own... but still its better to double check with them first before deciding... you can find their outlet phone number in proton site and give them a call.

How about the rattling from the dashboard head unit?
*
Previously was rattling at passenger side dashboard which has been solved.

For now I wasn't sure which part rattling, its a different sound thou... seems like from inside dashboard which I wasn't sure is from HU or Cluster meter, or inside steering... couldn't locate. Only appear in rare occasion like say maybe hot weather + uneven road?

QUOTE(hassansafdarali1 @ Feb 24 2017, 10:03 AM)
If i forget to lock my car after i leave ,  will iybe locked automatically?
*
I think it depends, there is a few occasion where after off engine and walk away from the car at some distance, it will lock itself.
But if during the process you open another door or unlocking the car again, it seems like won't lock anymore...
