Thanks for replying mate.

Just wonder if 2 rear speakers (6x9) are installed at the rear parcel shelf (or rear doors) could hide from the SC's prying eyes?  tongue.gif  I enjoy listening to songs whenever I drive so i'm more particular with the audio quality but not up to the extend of investing thousands into ICE.

And yes I agree with you on the Myvi's (1st gen) audio setup, it's so mediocre.  puke.gif

Do you think the Exora's double DIN HU can fit to the Persona without modding the wires (just plug and play)?

Cheers.  smile.gif

Exore HU even with 2 dins have the same function as persona's 2 din. Using 1 din HU, i know make the interior of the car feels empty but on the bright sight, extra room for handphone XD

We are comparing 2 different segment car right here, old persona more wider, and also the ground clearance is far more less than persona. if you want more stability, need to sacrifice comfort, once you potong spring no more comfort but more stability in high speed.
*
Yes old Persona has lower center of gravity. But I compare them because they are the same price bracket. Just wondering if it's worth to replace it with new Persona.

Not necessarily so. Some cars do have better comfort (ride) and also stability (handling). But at this price point, there's no option left lol.

i pump full tank when it starts blinking, usually around 75-80. by the time i pump petrol, it is average 420km.

Actually happen to my car too. I tried to calculate the price per km and compare to the dashboard liter per km , I found out they don't match. So I thought my car fc is bad. Then I went to sg besi 3s Centre and ask them to check. The foreman there also notice something wrong after checking. He told me seems like the sensor not very accurate. They added a bottle of fuel treatment for me and ask me to try again for a week then see if this has improved. If not, then go back and they need to open the dashboard or the fuel sensor.

So I think it's the sensor not giving right reading.

Just bought the new persona 1.6 Standard... currently in 450+KM,
anyone having this issues?
1)Car jerking at low gear, speed around 0-20km/hr.
2)Delayed car movement, rpm rev up but car doesn't move, sometimes move at 1000rpm (Breaking around 750rpm... unbreak goes to 1000rpm).. sometimes at 1500rpm(when light gas pedal)... sometimes the whole car doesn't even moved when the engine is screaming at 2000rpm(hard gas pedal).... same goes to reverse gear....

My only logical explanation,
1)The lost of power could be due to electrical stability/current/voltage issues when engine rev up took power and gear losing engagement.
(Anyone tried with grounding cables/voltage stabilizer?...does it void car warranty?)

2)The ECU unit is badly tuned where most cars would had (Gas Pedal>Gear engagement>Engine Rev).... whereas the persona might have (Gas pedal>Engine Rev>Gear engagement).... (Anyone tried ECU tuning before? How much would it cost? Will it void car warranty?)

I personally dont see a point of even testing  that just for the sake of seeing how fast the car can  go.The need requiring such speed (provided conditions are favorable)  is almost nil unless one is evading the law / police car chase  LOL.

Whats next after finding out the conclusion:

good: yeah wow my ride is powerful (ego boosted?)
bad: oh dear the whole thing falling apart  when I go 180kmh. (does it matter at all?  )
ugly: no chance comment (dead liao how to comment?)
*
Well said. For those who want to know the car power, this is the paste and cut from motoring-malaysia.blogspot.my -

"We even managed to hit 200km/h on a downhill bit slipstreaming the lead car (an Inspira 2.0). It would max out somewhere close to 190kmh which is quite normal for a 1.6liter car with an automatic (CVT) transmission with a certain amount of horsepower and torque."

I hope admin won't delete this post because it would be sad to see our friends here got killed just to prove the car power.

Last year my neighbor son got killed because he likes to speed, leaving behind 2 young kids and a wife who doesn't look very employable. Now grandpa needs to continue working to support the extra mouths. In a way, it is lucky that the son got killed on the spot. You think it is funny to be paralyzed or be minced?

Old goat here been driving for 40 years. Only got a few bumper kissing - only once by me!

Remember - you die never mind but don't hurt others.

Lastly, I would like to add to the good, bad and ugly -

Worst: be paralyzed or be minced and then spend his/her time here telling us not to speed. Haha!

Bro. Almost all cars FC calculation is not accurate as it takes an average of multiple readings for an unknown time. All I can say is the accuracy will improve over time as more data is collected and your usage pattern will average the reading out.

Here we recommend manual calculation.

I always fill in when the fuel meter blink, average RM50/21.74l. Can get 320KM with a left over 2 bar. I guess the driving style effect hows the fuel burnt. My driving style is always eco light green with a little bit naughty side when on highway. Why don't you try my style, it's a bit like an old man but hey you can save fuel.

Always stay on the left lane, because if you do this on right lane. High beam+horn will comes to you rclxm9.gif . When on static, 1st gear don't press kaw2 lightly press if you don't apply the minyak also can, 1st gear car can move then lightly press, change when rpm reach 2k or 2.5k. Second gear will drop to 1/1.5k rpm keep doing the same but this time let eco indicator help you.

Never over rev over 2.5k rpm, once you already biasa. Hearing engine noise already know when to shift or not.

Style like this i can get around 14.5KM/l ~ 16KM/l.

Any standard variant owner installed additional speakers at the rear? If ANY:

1. Where did you install them? Rear doors or rear parcel shelf?
2. How are the additional wires connected to the HU? Cut wires or connected with ISO connector?

Please enlighten. Cheers. wink.gif
