Which version of Astro go apk?

Need some help. I was using Kodi v18 on my Minex for months OK. but recently not sure why out of sudden the Kodi interface resolution seems lowered. The fonts appears not sharp and the movie cover art looks very low resolution. I tried to go to Kodi/Settings/Resolution - but the settings is greyout doesn't allow me to change. The current value for resolution is shown as Windowed.

Any idea how to rectify this? Tried googling around saw ppl suggest to change resolution but also found a lot of articles asking why the resolution settings is disabled. My last resort is reinstall Kodi.

OK found the solution. Apparently the \ key on my remote keypad can toggle between full screen and windowed mode.

Hello all...new TV Box user here..

I got myself a Tanix TX5 Pro 4GB/32GB. Came with a bunch of apps but not really useful. Factory reset the thing and start fresh. Now just running Astro Go, Kodi (Elementum), Netflix, youtube, New cloudTV.

Would like to say that this thread really contains good information for newbie like me to get started on tv box. Kudos.

Needed to ask you guys some questions on the HDMI connection between an andriod TV box and TV.

I have a Sony 40W600B TV. It has the following 4 HDMI ports :-

1) HDMI / MHL
2) HDMI
3) HDMI (DVI)
4) HDMI (ARC).

My android TV box (evpad & M8SL) can only be able to connect to HDMI/MHL port on the TV with image and sound.
But it has nothing when connected to the other ports.

May I know why ? Does Android TV Box only works in HDMI/MHL port ? Not the other ports ?

So just fyi..I have a 43W660F with 2 HDMI ports. HDMI (arc) and HDMI. both are working with the tv box. Didn't make any settings change so not sure why yours not working.

You are welcome... As you've noticed, it's so much cleaner to factory reset and install only the apps and or services you'll actually use..

IMO.. It's TV and content (HDCP or not) dependent.. Ports 1, 2, & 4 should definitely work.. Port 4 in particular would be effective if you also have an ARC supported sound system connected to the TV as well. As all TV sounds are then routed to this ARC enabled sound system instead.

hello guys i am quite confused with all the available devices in the market and also the streaming capabilities that these devices offer but what i do know is what im going to use it for. So i need u guys to help me recommend a really a good one that suits for what im using it for.

what i have:
FHD 40 inch TV
100Mbps Unifi with asus router 5ghz wifi

What i watch:
Local TV channels
Probably some astro 104 or 105 for my mother
movies(might just hook up USB drive for this)
Live sports

Alternatively, kindky read page one first... Also try to understand that here we talk about Android boxes and not illegal IPTV services. Legal would be Asterruk Go, but you need a subscription for that... Lastly, such devices aren't as easy to operate like an Asterruk decoder. So consider if your mum is tech savvy enough to grasp and use it on say a daily basis.

u can go to Fire TV Cube, tomoro launching 2nd gen

or u can go-to premium route, the outdated Nvidia shield,

PS: Huawei's Himedia don't hv Widevine L1, they might hv work around... but not 4K

Why no sound for tvbox when connect to pc monitor with built-in speaker?
All normal when connect to tv. Is it hdmi cable problem?

The monitor or box shouldn’t discriminate.. Check monitor audio is enabled and speaker volume set high. Test with stereo sound.

When u do factory reset most other apps sure gone but u still will have google play. Have reply u in rss thread
