QUOTE(wertherist @ Jul 13 2019, 10:28 AM) Hi Sifus.... I'd skip the GT1 Ultimate and bump up straight to the GT-King.. Does all you are asking for and more... for slightly more cash.. In-depth review here... As for "pre-downloaded apps"? It's not difficult.. Best to install your own and maintain.. I have been doing market search for a reliable android tv box for quite sometimes. I am new for it and all my knowledge is based on Google. I have found out about Beelink GT1 Ultimate. It seems to be fine for me. However, after checking teh reviews, i am not sure whether i should go for it or not. I am quite puzzled. And there are so many boxes in the market. I do not want to buy any of it without having a proper guide and also advice. Here are my budget and requirements. I really need your valuable feedback and advice in order for me to get one. BUDGET - RM350 PREFERENCES - FHD (No need 4K etc but if can get, well and good) - 3-4GB RAM & 32-64GB MEMORY - ASTRO subscription - Able to run on 5 MHZ and not only 2.4 - strong wifi receiver (i am at the same time planing to use lan cable for faster connection) - to have predownloaded TV apps like Terranium, Hindi movie channels, netflix, chinese/HK/Taiwan dramas and hantu movies - With the latest android - after running a while, no hanging. As i read reviews, most people complain that after using the device for sometimes, it heats up and lows down - able to play very light simple games for my 4 y.o toddler. Thanks in advance. QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 16 2019, 10:30 AM) I was about to say the same thing too. Minix U1 only has 2GB RAM but works well. Correct... Has been harped on multiple times in this thread if only some would bother to read.. Excess unused RAM is a waste.. Best HW specs isn't everything.. My Neo U1 still remains a daily driver till date. QUOTE(stevenX @ Jul 16 2019, 03:41 PM) Thanks for the info. No it's NOT!... Microsoft Windows is runs on billions of devices too.. From PCs, ATMs, Billboards, etc.. Those are not Skins.. A lot goes on under the hood to mod.. So buying the right device from a brand with devs that know their stuff? Is vital.. Haha i tho is same like android mobile device, every brand is same but just different skin. QUOTE(DraGGarD @ Jul 18 2019, 04:53 PM) Hi all, need some advise here. I am looking at Tanix TX5 and Tanix TX6. May I know which one is better ? I saw that TX5 is android 8.1 while TX6 is only 7 and also in term of RAM, TX5 is ddr4 while TX6 is only ddr3. Therefore, Tanix TX5 is better ? sorry for the noob question here. Thank you in advance Simply put... I'd go with the Tanix TX5.. Cuz AMLogic processor.. QUOTE(szecheng @ Jul 20 2019, 04:42 PM) looking for cheap android tv box Mecool would do just fine..mainly for Morpheus, Viu, aDrama, Hyptv & Astro Go (mandatory) done astro go installation before 1.huawei ec6108v8 (hyptv box) 2.mecool m8l pro l 3.mi box s Rockchip based can be configure to enable astro go like Amlogic based? Netflix & Youtube 4k not important coz mostly play using smart tv |

QUOTE(restron @ Jul 21 2019, 07:14 PM) Hi, IMO.. There's no fix.. Last time, I complained a few times to TM about this. But once you mention it's not a normal mobile device? They shut down and tell you it's your box problem. That was last year's though. I've switched camp to TIME and thus not that invested..You can try contacting their CS.. Maybe this time they have a resolution.. Good luck. Did any of u guys already install Hypptv and succesfully can stream all channel? Currently i got issue the error when i wan to play any channel. QUOTE(szecheng @ Jul 21 2019, 09:41 PM) Unfortunately AFAIK, it's not a root problem.. Minix devices are unrooted and I've gotten such experiences in the past. This post has been edited by voncrane: Jul 22 2019, 12:27 AM |

On another note, apparently there's an "EVPAD 3S - Malaysia Edition" and this is being advertised as both SIRIM & MCMC approved.. If that's true...I'm unsure how that came to be.. No more war on boxes and ehem content?

I couldn't read that and just assumed it meant they are approved.. Oh well, if they haven't been on the authorities' radar, this should get the to the top of the list fairly quickly.. Just the Chinese translate was wrong.Certified? If they can certified, every others brand also can... ... They even put SIRIM QAS logo, so this product has been tested and certified by SIRIM QAS! Wah! even AppleTV 4K or Nvidia Shield also not get certified by SIRIM QAS... ... This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 22 2019, 01:11 AM |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jul 22 2019, 03:01 PM) This thing is really certified by SIRIM. Haha! I figured and kinda makes sense.. Though, what does this say about the folks up in there.. I don't even work in their approval/enforcement department and even I know what the name EVPAD is synonymous with. 99.99% of anyone who buys an EVPAD device buys it for a singular reason. Which is definitely not their hardware or firmware. So I guess, legally.. The company can cash in on this (as they have) and hint that they are backed by SIRIM & MCMC.. ![]() Alternatively, perhaps the government is giving them ropes to hang themselves.. |

Later kena 5 figures+ fine.. Win win.. QUOTE(Scissorshand @ Jul 23 2019, 11:42 AM) Tis always a cat and mouse game. Logically, they can only block devices that ship with pre-loaded ehem stuff. The internet was built for connectivity, where there's a will.. there's a way. |
