if I use everyday, it only last 2 week.

Not frequent use, a month.

Normal alkaline battery.

That's considered pretty fast too.

Maybe there are different models of Minix airmouse ? Some are smarter ?

I m surprised this remote drain battery that fast. Compare the original remote.

Now I use mainly the original player remote. Unless want to use the keyboard.

I believe either really bad batteries or you have a faulty remote. Mine using rechargeable eneloop batteries that stays in it 24/7.. Had it over a year, use the device almost daily and both battery and remote still going strong. It's like using batteries in a logitech mouse. Same as this unit, I always buy straight off Aliexpress, from Minix's official distributor. Ships via DHL and delivered in 3-5 days max.

I don't know, I Googled and says it is common problem with A2/A2 Lite remote.
I have plenty of Eneloop batteries but not AAA. doh.gif Hence, I had to use normal cheapskate batteries. Just changed to slightly better Panasonic Alkaline batteries since I have some spare from my hiking trip (headlamp).

Referring to the picture. At the bottom there are 9 buttons. What is the purpose of the button at the top right corner ( circle with an arrow ) ? Isn't it the one which turn on the mouse cursor ? If it is, then it is the button which turn on and turn off the gyro.

Yes, it turns off gyro. I turn it off all the time because I still use mouse but still drains.

Wow, that's bad. I need to pay attention to my one too. I was under the impression that turn off the gyro will save the battery. sweat.gif

It alway in OFF mode initial. Unless you press the button and the cursor show up.

I alway OFF it after use. As the cursor quite annoying on the screen.

Do you turn off the tv box (shutdown) after use or put it to sleep at least ?

Hmmm, you folks experiences with you Neo A2 Lite Airmouse is weird. Since it appears to be a common issue, I'll chalk it up to hardware problems. Definitely a bad batch. Traditionally the remote isn't supposed to drain so much battery especially with sparse gyro usage. Also when the Minix Neo U1 goes into sleep mode, it's really sleep mode as in all USB ports are shut off, so the wireless remote won't wake it up. Unless the power button is pressed on the side or the power button is pressed while pointing directly the box. This is because it MUST use the infrared connection to communicate.. ergo, remote and box is asleep. If you've noticed, the power button doesn't do anything too when the box is plugged in and shutdown. Only when power button is pressed, with the IR line of sight to the box will the box then power on.

Not sure what is the problem.

But I use less now and the battery last longer.

Since I have 2 remote to control, I switch between use.

Im using GP rechargable batteries for it. Not using Gyro much since i run Android TV interface on my GT1 Ulti, toggled it on just for few secs each day if i need to access certain stuffs. The battery lasted around 1.5 months before it needs another recharge. Im using a separate wireless mouse to play hearthstone on my tvbox.

I didn't have this problem when I still had my A2 lite & Minix U1. Changed batteries only once in 2 months or so. Used almost everyday but no gaming, so gyro is used for selecting only.

I think it's due to alkaline batteries. Nevertheless, I got an 2.4 wireless cheapo keyboard with touchpad. I actually have Logitech wireless keyboard with touchpad but I find it too bulky. laugh.gif
