There are stipulations regarding to this. For some older policies, if you go above your room limit, your will have to pay 20% co-insurance (and without limit on this co-insurance) on your total medical bill Other companies have no issues with you going over the limit, you would just have to pay the difference between your RM100 and the actual cost of the room each night. Best you contact your agent to have a review. RM100 is barely sufficient to cover even for a quad-sharing room in private hospitals.

Alright, say I have two insurance plans (1 company, or personal), and both mentioned R&B to be at 100. Say the room I took is 150, possible to charge the difference (in this case 50) to of of the insurance?

I can only speak for Prudential and PruBSN Takaful for a more accurate answer, please check your policy and have your agent explain the terms and conditions In general, yes, you can claim the balance from your personal medical card company. But you would have to pay on your own first (to be discharged), then take the original copies of the receipt, discharge summary and/or medical report to the branch to claim the differences up to your limit. The same goes if you exhausted the annual limit of your company medical card, Prudential/PruBSN will pay the balance upon proper documents.

Any comment on this Manulife Prime? Any manulife insurance agent here can explain? Feature: https://www.manulife.com.my/Products-and-Se...-ManuLink-PrimeBrochure: https://www.manulife.com.my/servlet/servlet...6F00002DuTDQUA3It looks competitive as it covers the whole family, i.e. parents and the children. a) With Full allocation on Insurance Premium paid from Policy Year 1 onwards, what does the agent earns and why bother to sell this plan? b) For any covered critical illness event, the Insurance Premium will be waived up to 10th policy year. If only get CI after 10th year, what is the point of this 10 years waiver only?

QUOTE(Mightypc @ Dec 10 2018, 02:51 PM) Hello guy, I am currently on my 10 years old AIA Flexi-premier income, CI and medical plan. The plan is too old and I would like to update it. Just started surveying recently and find insurance is quite confusing thing. Need help for some advice on market rate and how much should i cover. I have no idea what "package" are available. I am non smoking male engineer aged 34. Would like to explore other company than AIA (not really happy with their service ) Hope sifus here can shed some light for me to kick off my insurance shopping~ Buy a new one from prudential, should be better price and coverage. Give up your AIA and get the surrender value

Medical card is mainly designed for private hospital. But of course can use in GH, with pay and claim. And the waiting report done in GH may take around 1~2 months time.

Gov hospital are normally not panel as majority who goes there are those without medical card. But insurance company do pay out allowance if you were to admit to GH. Any specific reason you want to be admitted to a GH except for referral by doctors ?

Yes, I'm from Manulife Feature: https://www.manulife.com.my/Products-and-Se...-ManuLink-PrimeBrochure: https://www.manulife.com.my/servlet/servlet...6F00002DuTDQUA3It looks competitive as it covers the whole family, i.e. parents and the children. Yes, one policy can cover parent and child medical coverage. with this can reduce insurance cost and min premium commitment. a) With Full allocation on Insurance Premium paid from Policy Year 1 onwards, what does the agent earns and why bother to sell this plan? Yes Full allocation, but we charge slightly higher for fund management. overall still benefiting to us. b) For any covered critical illness event, the Insurance Premium will be waived up to 10th policy year. If only get CI after 10th year, what is the point of this 10 years waiver only? that's additional benefit offer by company. we can get premium waiver for whole life at our cost. This post has been edited by zhengdek: Dec 15 2018, 12:57 PM

Hi guys, have a question here . 3 years ago I had bought a small insurance premium from Etiqa under a friend as an agent but recently found out he has jump ship to another insurance company. So what should I do next if I’m unabke to contact him and if I want to terminate this coverage, would it be worth it to do so?
