QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Aug 5 2020, 07:16 PM) First sign for gold to tumble is when Federal Reserve reverses its stand and starts to hike interest. means it may still be a good short term alternative of say a year or so? QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Aug 5 2020, 07:18 PM) thats y dont be a genius and buy when market is shooting up into parabolic shape. ya, the "FOMO" in me is saying buy buy buy but the "scared to die" in me is saying stay away haha

I am more worry about the US actually. Momentum slow down by a lot. I see the correlation to gold turn negative already. Not sure if this is back to normal correlation or hint of something else.

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Aug 5 2020, 09:28 PM) Both are fighting for market shares. Looks like eunittrust is more aggressive. 1.75% vs 0% is no brainer for me. Ofcos i know some dont mind 1.75% for better user interface accessibility and service

Hi sifus, when normally do you guys sell/redeem the fund?
Comfortable with the amount of profit for example 30% in 6 months time?
Wait till the fund expiry date to get the dividend?
Wait at least a year to make use of the annual charges?

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Aug 5 2020, 09:42 PM) This month is Merdeka month. FSM will have a campaign coming in but doesn't expect it to slash to 0%. From past years, it should be 0.57% or some symbolic number. Nice not aware of this since only started fsm early this year. Thanks.

QUOTE(yklooi @ Aug 1 2020, 12:34 PM) you got just +2.00% ....i think you are just too modest.... i got +1.87% with a port consisted with 32% in Asia Reits, 52% in FI, 15% in Asia pac. i think you got a much more aggressive port than mine... My FI stands at 70%, hence my port is not as aggressive as yours. The difference is I more pandai select fund than you. I selected US + China and dumped REITs whereas you choose Asia-Pac + REITs. Not sure if this is back to normal correlation or hint of something else. I too am more cautious looking at US coz I use Std-Dev as the measurement of risk and US's Std-Dev has overtaken China's. Previously, it was the other way around. Concurrently, I have increased my China exposure whilst decreased my US exposure. Previously was FI:US:China = 70:20:10, Now is 70:15:15 Xuzen
