Erm.... you bred your hamsters? How long since the breeding? You will notice the hamster eating more, drinking more and looking rounder than usual. She will also start build a nest or prepare a place to hide....

A hamster that is about to birth would find a corner of the cage or tank to make it secure. She would use tissue paper and hay to form a well or like low walls.... something like that. It doesn't look like a bird nest.

You seriously should not breed if you have not read up on breeding. There are so many hamster websites online that got caresheets and tips on breeding.

Please change from cage to a storage box or tank.... We should never let hamsters give birth in cages for there is a risk where the babies can get hurt or the mom gets injured....

from wat I've face before lah....sometimes a pregnant hamster tends to be more aggresive, wil bite one. BUt some doesn't, so actually quite hard to explain......
If u suspect ur female hamster is pregnant, just separate the male wif the female loh. Gestation period is around 21 days. If u notice she very gemuk, than u can change the bedding every 3days loh, coz after she gave birth, can change bedding at least 2 weeks gah......which is quite smelly.....

hello bro... learn something la before keeping, let alone breeding... it's one of their characteristic la, like to digging, pushing & keeping anything at the corner... even they are animal, not nice la say 'stupid' like that... i think u are more stupid coz simply keep & breed them without knowledge... sorry bro, no offence ya...

Sigh... why you buy 2 to breed? Can you handle buying 3 more tanks or cages? 1 for mom, 1 for dad, 1 for male babies and 1 for female babies? Their gestation is 18 to 21 days, each litter is about 4 to 8 babies, they can mate and produce babies in every 21 days.... is that a life for a hamster?

If you bring inside a pouch, you will stress the hamster alot. Maybe suffocate also since pouch got not much air. Hamsters overheat easily. Hamsters are a life lah.... to just buy a pair and breed for the fun of it without doing proper research or thinking about the amount of breeding and death that might occur is quite..... irresponsible....

If you want them to breed, you better set aside money to buy more cages and food. If you bought the hamsters from the same place, they could be siblings... and inbreeding can cause behaviour problems and also genetic disorders or deformity.... Hamster will not feel lonely if kept separately. I suggest, if you cannot cope with breeding, please separate them now....

. . . . . .
If a male and female ham live together 100% pregnant, unless they're sterile or got some genital/reproductive problem.

Sigh.. well sometimes cannot blame this newbies too much also la... what to do.. maybe it's their first pet and they're inexperienced.. blame it on pet shops too lor.. but pls pls pls.. now u know what to do already. Separate them. No point keeping them together.. every time my friends keep telling me 'eh.. see your hamster so lonely! get him a friend'.. I'll have to explain to them. Seems like people have this misconception that hamsters are friendly animals even towards their own kind.

I think it is more where people put human emotions together.... A hamster can live in small groups(Only Robos and RCs) but it has to have a VERY large space or they will fight. Winter Whites are more likely to fight when in groups.... this is why we always advice people, only get 1 if just want a pet.... the most also 2 but same sex.... but... sigh.... all also put human emotions together and all also listen to petshops....
