I jz came back home. Found one pinkie dead in the tank next to the nest. She wasn't cannibalised. Neither did she has any injuries. So, I dunno wud's da cause of her death but then again, she's the tiniest among the 7 siblings. Should I remove her dead body ?

maybe malnutrition? remove the dead body as hun said...because a dead carcass will promotes bacteria growth and it is unhelathy to other hammy in that cage

K .. removed already. Surprisingly, the mommy didn't even cannibalise any part of the pinky. She jz leave the pinky in the wood.

Maybe your mommy hamster have feelings wan... know her baby died so she don't take advantage.. but I doubt so.. chances are maybe she's so smart that she knows dead meat are not fresh.

guys, i think its better we made the gathering for hamsters only...or al least for rodents and lomorgaprps..bcoz i read in small animal gathering thread..some one want to bring "small dog"

I think she has feelings also. I always see her licking her pups ... hehe.

I don't think hamsters and small pets like gerbils are suitable for most children. So far I've only sold hams to 2 ppl who bought for their children but know how to handle and supervise when the children are around.

I've seen what kids can do with their pulling and squeezing. One of my dog hates children due to them annoying him some years ago.

yeah..the kids also love to tap around my hammy tank...it made my hammy so affraid..and if the kid is tall enough, they put their hand inside the tank and try to catch my hammy...unlucky all my hammy are all tame. I really hope that my hammy will bite them..but what happen whenever the kid got bite? ---> they scold the hammy

haha..my robos terbalik pulak..the small one( the mummy) did always bully the big one(the papa)..hehe..but now, her babies pulak bully her...steal food from her, sleep inside the toilet( her fav sleeping spot)..kaco her sleeping time, rebut the wheel from her(but mama always win lar..everyday can see the 'flying' little rascal because he/she cannot follow the mummy's step while running on the wheel..hakhak)
