You should ask them what is the brand, go around to survey the particular price and product given by the SA. Check your cash bill and warranty card as well. |

QUOTE(tybsiew @ Oct 11 2013, 01:51 PM) Wanna ask... Bro, actually this is the main problem for all customer. SA may say is A product, but maybe they fix the B product for you for the same brand. So you do not know which is which. And some tinting shop maybe swap product also in order to make more profit. I am sick to see this thing, actually. If u let the SA to tint for u and they say will give u for example vkool/3M/HO specific spec I.e vkool elite.. HO sec60 etc.. How will you know they tinted the real spec as promised? Just have to trust them? But I know how is Raytech Window Film work on this issue. This is good for everybody to know also. ![]() |

Thks for the info But there's a loophole oso Dealer can keep those extra sticker and stick it when needed. Meaning those who actually tinted high end tint and the left over sticker keep for next "lower end" tint This can happen oso rite? |

QUOTE(tybsiew @ Oct 12 2013, 09:45 PM) Lord Gitsy I agreed. Somehow according to Raytech message. Only limited stickers of each roll of film. This is how they control and avoid the misuse of "house-brand" for their dealers.Thks for the info But there's a loophole oso Dealer can keep those extra sticker and stick it when needed. Education Material of IWFA (International Window Film Association)
1. Infra-Red (IR) rejection not accurate to describe solar heat control of window film product. 2. IR only contribute 54% of Total Solar Energy Rejection. 3. SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient is more comprehensive to solar control performance. 4. It Is misleading to consumer if Manufacturer refer to IR rejection instead of SHGC. budget: under Rm1.6k Requirement: 1.Solar film on front(GPS smart targ friendly) and rear windscreen 2.Solar + Security film on side windscreen 3. I prefer darker film but I need it to be safe from SAMAN, trouble free with JPJ people, how dark(in%) we can get ? This post has been edited by linkinawe: Oct 14 2013, 12:37 AM |

QUOTE(linkinawe @ Oct 14 2013, 12:29 AM) what is the recommendation for dugong tinting ? It is a 2011 2nd hand vios. Recommendation for tinting is dependent on the choice of brands available in the market. Almost all come with solar and security films. As for GPS and smart tag friendly films, some are compliant while some are not so compliant. So far I know Huper Optik is GPS and Smart tag friendly. Others not so sure. Other popular brands include V-kool, 3M, Raytech and Sahara. budget: under Rm1.6k Requirement: 1.Solar film on front(GPS smart targ friendly) and rear windscreen 2.Solar + Security film on side windscreen 3. I prefer darker film but I need it to be safe from SAMAN, trouble free with JPJ people, how dark(in%) we can get ? As for your point no. 3, this question on "how dark can we get" to be safe, this depends on the level of expectations as everyone's expectations are not similar. Theoretically VLT50% is the permissible limit for side and rear windscreen but many people have VLT40% on these windscreens as they still don't look too dark. Some people have VLT30% films on the sides and rear and feel they are not too dark either, while others may regard VLT30% as too dark. Some people even have VLT below 30% which is certainly too dark already. In my opinion, if you want to play safe just stick with VLT70% and above for front windscreen and VLT50% and above for side windscreens. If you want darker, you can still choose VLT60% and above for front and VLT40% and above for sides and back. Anything below these figures for VLT and the chance of you getting into trouble will be higher, not recommended actually. Having said that there will still be people who would be willing to take the risk though. |

QUOTE(linkinawe @ Oct 14 2013, 03:01 PM) Yes you can. There are many range of films for both Huper and V-kool, so you may inquire. There is a V-kool seller here "Lonely.. something". You can search the thread here several pages back. You may ask him to quote. I have used V-kool before and it can work with SmartTag but GPS signal is weak. Depends on the type or range of film though. |
