Dear Experts, need your help for the advices,  is Raytech CS 85 for Cerato cost RM 1600.00 including front, rear and windows consider expensive?  If using 3M or HO with equal spec will be exceeded RM1500?

CS85 VLT is 50%. IF you are using CS85 for front windscreen, quite a bit lower than JPJ's permissible 70% since the difference is 20%. Usually best to stay within 10%+/-.

The equivalent Huper Optik package would be Sech60 for front and C40 for sides/back. TSER is almost similar to Raytech.

also does tintshop has higher VLT tints..because no point I tint back 70 % and fail again

Have you discussed how the tint shop can settle for you? It might be a better idea to ship your car back to Sabah, then retint your front windscreen in Sabah. Vkool Elite's VLT is higher than 70% but the "end result" may end up slightly lower than 70%. To top it off, other tints with high VLT above 70%(other than VKool Elite) usually has very poor TSER. So in the end, it makes little difference whether to tint your front windscreen or not. Most people have their front windscreens tinted in the range of VLT 50% to 69% for better heat rejection.

Thanks bro, which centre would you recommend for a reasonable price for HO?
*
For HO, I only inquired from 3 branches. So far the two branches in Puchong (CK Tint and Puchong Smart Tint) have almost similar pricing with difference maybe RM50 between the packages. Smart Window now knows that the HO dealers are trying to get business by cutting the prices, hence they will try to match the price to their best ability.

You will most likely get cheaper prices if you go directly to the HO branches(bypassing Smart Window), but not sure if you will get the proper warranty papers. I opt to go through Smart Windows as my SA had given me a good discount for my new car, so I helped him by paying a bit more for the tint.

If you want the cheapest price, you may opt for either HO branches at Puchong. Pricing will be almost similar for most common packages(RM1.6k-1.8k). I am not sure about other branches though.

But another problem, i also have use smartphone gps, smart tag and my home autogate control inside my car...and u recommend tat huper potik right? huper optik reduce heat is ok ?

can can u give me opinion..i look for reduce heat, using gps, some signal equipment tec...and security film ..

TQ bro !!1

Huper Optik's heat performance is okay. Just don't know how long it will last before the efficiency goes down. If can last for >5 years then considered good already.

Smart tag, GPS and remote control for home automatic gate are all workable with Huper Optik. For home automatic gate, you may need to press several times for the gate to open or close. The tint affects the auto gate function a bit but still you can operate it. Just need a bit more time.

If your car interior is of light color, vlt40% is nothing la. It's still like normal glass with a shade of dark. Vlt 30% also non issue. tongue.gif

It depends on individual. For some people, with VLT20% and you cannot see the face of the person inside the vehicle, the owner will also say it's nothing and not an issue. Personally for my level, VLT40% for side windscreens is still acceptable. VLT30% no.

what is the recommendation for dugong tinting ? It is a 2011 2nd hand vios.
budget: under Rm1.6k
Requirement:
1.Solar film on front(GPS smart targ friendly) and rear windscreen
2.Solar + Security film on side windscreen
3. I prefer darker film but I need it to be safe from SAMAN, trouble free with JPJ people, how dark(in%) we can get ?
*
Recommendation for tinting is dependent on the choice of brands available in the market. Almost all come with solar and security films. As for GPS and smart tag friendly films, some are compliant while some are not so compliant. So far I know Huper Optik is GPS and Smart tag friendly. Others not so sure. Other popular brands include V-kool, 3M, Raytech and Sahara.

As for your point no. 3, this question on "how dark can we get" to be safe, this depends on the level of expectations as everyone's expectations are not similar. Theoretically VLT50% is the permissible limit for side and rear windscreen but many people have VLT40% on these windscreens as they still don't look too dark. Some people have VLT30% films on the sides and rear and feel they are not too dark either, while others may regard VLT30% as too dark. Some people even have VLT below 30% which is certainly too dark already.

In my opinion, if you want to play safe just stick with VLT70% and above for front windscreen and VLT50% and above for side windscreens. If you want darker, you can still choose VLT60% and above for front and VLT40% and above for sides and back. Anything below these figures for VLT and the chance of you getting into trouble will be higher, not recommended actually. Having said that there will still be people who would be willing to take the risk though.

brand wise , with this budget of 1.6k , able to get Huper/V-kool ?
*
Yes you can. There are many range of films for both Huper and V-kool, so you may inquire.

There is a V-kool seller here "Lonely.. something". You can search the thread here several pages back. You may ask him to quote. I have used V-kool before and it can work with SmartTag but GPS signal is weak. Depends on the type or range of film though.
