you can reverse your diabetic by taking chromium and doing keto diet, chromium you can buy at most pharmacy.

if you trust your doctor more, then its your business

Your family are diabetic because your family eat the same food . If you want to heal your diabetes , you must change your lifestyle . Stop eating process food like roti canai , fried animal products like KFC , soda , french fries , cookies etc . Try drinking lots of plain water regularly . Diabetes is dangerous because it effects 3 things , your vision , your kidney and your limbs like your legs . There are many doctors who are experts in diabetes and one of the best is Dr Neal Barnard . You can watch many of his diabetes videos in Youtube . I also have a friend who's having diabetes but he just refused changing his diet . Nothing much I can do for people who don't want to change .

Dr Barnard method is simple . Stop eating all animal products like meat , fish , chicken , eggs , milk and cheese .

Eat complex, healthier carbs (ie brown rice instead of white ride) and cut down on carbs in general. No sugary drinks, do more exercise and sugar levels will improve.

I'm Type 1 unfortunately so all those help but still need to inject for every meal!

chromium?

i have been watching Dr Jason Fung for a few days now. I am actually trying to fit in keto diet now. it has been a week.
but it's quite challenging and the learning curve is quite steep. not quite sure how or when and not sure whether i am doing it right.
maybe i am not achieving any ketones at all. the fat do scares me a lot.
maybe i don't need to incorporate so much fat as what they said because i still have glucose and fat to burn from my body.
i also wanna try intermittent fasting but i do not know how to do it when i need to eat metformin.

today i watch Dr Jason's videos from youtube, maybe i need to fast first then only slowly adapting keto diet? omg i am a mess.
but 1 week no rice and sugar already. no carbs. but i think i made a booboo by eating dong fen soup the other day.

i am still doing research. please explain more. i want to know how to adapt to keto while under metformin & incorporate fasting. like 24 hour fasting. thanks.

I was around 21 if I remember correctly - initial symptoms were thirsty all the time, peeing far too frequently and eyesight going blurry, tingling in hands and feet.

Went to the doctor and they didn't think I was diabetic for whatever reason but blood test came back with very high sugar reading - in the high 30s.

After that spent a day on insulin drip in hospital and have been on insulin ever since.

As a type 1 to be honest I don't follow the strictest diet as I can inject to compensate if I eat anything with more carbs. Most difficult is when travelling overseas and all the food is different and always on the move. Oh and running out of insulin overseas is a pain, easy in Malaysia as you can just pick it up in any pharmacy

I think you need to change your mindset . Don't listen to your local doctors too much . Be more open minded . Do your own research . There are thousands of people with Type 1 diabetes who get healed . You can start watching Youtube videos by top health experts like Dr Lorraine Day , Dr Neil Barnard and Dr John Mcdougall , just to name a few . These doctors have heal thousands of chronic patients . But it starts with you , you must be willing to change . If you have no desire to change , nothing much anyone can do about it .

Since when I said don't eat rice . Other ppl have their own opinion . I stick to many top health experts ie to stop eating all animals products and to consume only plant based diet . I was really sick in the past like chronic foot pain , knee pain , back pain , chronic cough but now I am much more healthier since I started a plant based diet . If you want to keep eating what you want to eat , that's your business .

trying now but hard to find food outside. everything need to prepare myself.
not easy for working adult. and OT days..

try this;

Food for Abs

I think the price is reasonable for someone who don't have time to prepare or don't know how to..

there is no cure for type 1 diabetes

do not mislead people

better to trust local doctors than to "do own research on youtube"

the doctor is accountable to his words and treatment

youtube videos do not

This.

Plus I was diagnosed overseas (UK) and visit variety of doctors both private and government in Europe, not one of them believes there's a cure for T1

I remember him coming out with the same stuff in a similar thread recently

charcoal may reduce the absorption of other drugs, so it is safer to take apart from other meds

No, if the sugar level is > 6.5 it is considered diabetic and unable to get medical insurance.

Of course carafei agent will say yes amd dont declare it, but when a claim arises for diabetic related complications, they disappear faster than a speeding bullet.

i think what you mean by blood sugar level > 6.5 is hba1c test not random blood sugar or fasting blood sugar confused.gif

It can't - I think it's the same poster that comes out with this stuff in every diabetes related thread.
