diarrhea?

you have been on metformin for weeks and only diarrhea for few days
so metformin is unlikely the cause.

since you are diabetic, you do have a glucometer no?
if not go to a clinic and have your blood sugar check NOW.

while i may be overly cautious, diarrhea is one of a sign of diabetic ketoacidosis which if untreated can kill.

either i continue 850 x 2 or give me new 500 x 3.
i couldn't make a decision. and this is affecting my life.

communication problem

did you tell him you are having diarrhea all the while on metformin since the prescription of it? or you just say few days?

i am repeating again. the next day after i started metformin i already saw him.
he say either 850mg x 2 or buy new 500mg x 3. or do i want to continue my 3 month stock 850mg now.
i said i continue first and see how.

are you guys telling me to take the 500mg option x 3? or should i load up my charcoal pill fix?

if i take the 500mg pills what do i do with the 3 months stock 850mg?
*
500mgX3 might be better if the high dose of metformin is causing the diarrhea.

but it can also be a coincidence of you having diarrhea of another cause. so just take the charcoal since no harm taking it.

what to do with the 850mg if you decide to take the 500mg pills? return back la.

i havent touch the charcoal pills because the pharmacist said do not take with other pills. only take 2 hours after the other pill.
maybe i should eat that charcoal pill? i was deceived by yesterday because i take metformin as per normal but didn't shit whole day.

i thought i am constipated because no carbs. oh hell today diarrhea again. tomorrow i have to work too. i can shit at office, it's the journey to office that i am afraid of right now.

please understand my frustration towards this medicine, will i really get over this laosai period? when i up my dose will i laosai even more  cry.gif

there is no known drug-drug interaction between metformin and charcoal

1 x 850mg day and night.

why the doctor do this to me?
*
blood sugar........

unless it is always on the low side of diabetic like less than 7 while on that dosage then definitely need to reduce dose.

do you own a glucometer?

No, if the sugar level is > 6.5 it is considered diabetic and unable to get medical insurance.

Of course carafei agent will say yes amd dont declare it, but when a claim arises for diabetic related complications, they disappear faster than a speeding bullet.
*
that's for fasting blood sugar or random blood sugar?

is the number the same for pregnant mothers?

For accurate results it is always required to fast at least 8-10 hours for blood test.

Pregnancy may cause the sugar level to increase and if it does increase above normal, it is not a good time to apply.

After the pregnancy another test may be needed to show that the level has returned to normal, otherwise it is considered diabetic.

so a pregnant women can't get insurance?

DR. TONY ALMEIDA
( Bombay Kidney Speciality expert )

the person doesn't exist.

and even so, all that "doctor" has is assuming it is true, one single case as a story.
ONE case. even if it is true, no medical professional would take that ONE case and apply it to everyone.

then comes the mechanism. in what way ( read HOW) can that method work? what's the pathophysiology that the "cure" affects?

have you fact check before posting?

In the  long report.. fasting glucose below 7.7 mmol/l or hba1c?

Americans see ideal as 4.5-5.5
Above 7 fasting is diabetic.  Why 7.7 mmol in chinese report considered cured?  It is controlled...but high side.
*
because the report is fukin crap.

the point of a study is to compare result of drug group vs control group.

no publish control group result.

never define what's "cure", "effective", ineffective".

very small study group.

no double blind.

no segregation to normalise effect of age, sex, weight, control of diabetes etc etc.

without all those.........what's the point of the 7.7 thing? what does it mean? nothing.
