Ya now unifi is asymmetrical bandwidth, but it doesn't means you cant fully blast both download and upload bandwidth. When i downloading with full 100Mbps and i still can uploading with full 50Mbps at the same time + browsing.

Do you really know what does asymmetrical mean?

It means the download speed and upload speed isn't the same.....that simple . dont complicated it.

If you are coming from streamyx era user you should know that it does degrade the quality of line when full blast upload n download at the same time.

Actually, in the days of Streamyx, the technology was ADSL, where the A stands for Asymmetric. So high DL and low UL speeds were part of the technology. For example, your line could be 1mbps down and only 128kbps up. Whatever you blast is limited by these speeds.

Now, with FTTH, the speeds can be set to be any way, it's up to how the telco sees the usage pattern. So up to 20mbps, TM decreed that we should have the same speed up and down, i.e. 5/5, 10/10, 20/20. When they brought in 30mbps, they decided that 30/10 (initially 30/5) was good enough. And it was so! Then 50/20 and 100/50. But this is a technical setting by TM depending on how much speed they want to allocate, not the technology limitation.

So you can "blast" up to this speed. It does not degrade the line...

I also signed up for 30mbps last month and the tm guy say will get free upgrade to 50mbps, just wait for confirmation email but till now have yet to receive the email.

Yep. Even worst. TM sent Thankyousurprise confirmation but still no 'effect'. TM = tipu

I got email from TM confirming my thankyou surprise (Free HyypTv Jumbo pack for 12 mths) begining March 2017. It also states that after 12 mths, I will be charged RM60 per month. Till now, still no cannot watch. Anyone got the same surprise?

TM has until 30th June 2017 to upgrade all its eligible subscribers.

Your Unifi plan has been updated. please turn off modem for 10 mins and switch it back on to complete the update. thank you.

upgraded to 50mbps.

tapi testing U/L dapat 15mbps sahaja.

Becoz TM charge us for such a high fee on monthly that's why most of us are so impatient ....

I don't know about the others but I'm more anxious than impatient. Can't wait to to try 50mbps or 80mbps with load balancing. I also hope my neighbour gets it quick so I can test 100mbps. I think my existing Mikrotik won't be able to handle 100mbps because I had to turn off half of the hardware NAT for the load balancing. Maybe time to get a faster router. So many questions waiting to be answered.

Try to on and off again for longer periods, say 30 min.

Try with cable connection.

If still slow, call 100 to complain

Maybe TM need to change your equipment
