if gt received sms about speed upgrade, isit confirmed getting the speed upgrade? or ltr they will change to smtg else?

Got SMS definitely confirmed. But I'm sure TM reserves the right to change it.

definitely confirm get speed upgrade but when will it be done, is another story unless they mention the date

ridiculous, been checking with TM when can i get my upgrade to 50mbps and they keep telling me still in progress, in May tell me by June, in Jul tell me by Sep.

I just filed a complain to MCMC.

just saw my accounts status changed : UniFi Advance Plus 50Mbps (Thank You Campaign 2017)

Was supposed to get VIP 5 to VIP10 free upgrade by June, but till late August didn't received.

So went to TM center, *downgrade* from VIP5 to VIP10 Lite. Pay lesser also.

Status update:
Speed upgraded from 30 to 50.

Received the following SMS on the same date speed is upgraded. Only called Live chat and didn't contact MCMC.

RM0.00 TM Your UniFi plan (603********) has been updated. Please turn off modem for 10 mins and switch it back on to complete the update. Thank you.

Based on empirical evidence & painstaking statistical analysis gathered from March 2017 until the Sep 2017. I have discovered TM's formula for determining the month where one will get the free upgrade. It is:

y=x+1+a

where:
y is the numerical representation of the month of the year for the free upgrade
x is of the current month.
a is undetermined as of now.

Example:
If you ask TM today, month of Sep (9), the month of your free upgrade will be 9+1 or October (10).

is base on your formula, TM definitely suck! as i had been told free upgrade on Sept17 after i complained to MCMC...

Suck I dunno but consistent yes. Very month I ask it's always month+1. So I suspect I'll be on 30mbps till I retire.

Upgraded yesterday

Only manage to get this with 5Ghz wireless. 2.4 not good enough.

Does that mean the so called double speed, same price upgrade just for limited users and limited time only?

In a way, current new internet plans are same or even more expensive than before, and not eligible the free upgrade, ggwp

I just had a LIVE chat on the website and they said mine should be upgraded within this month. Hopefully it is true. Fingers crossed
