most likely TM remove those hubb area that have both copper and fibre infrastructure especially highrise so TM can remove the ADSL and upgrade with VDSL

I bet that may not be from TM. If 100 also no idea, that is just from telemarketer trying to sell you unifi.

Provided if it's true,
better check your port availability, if you have no more port for Unifi, then you're screwed.

jus got my upgrade last wk, notice that in order to achieve 100mbps, u need to connect to 5GHz wifi ID only can achieve, 2.4GHz cannot.

TM will give u new dlink router for those getting 100mbps upgrade

it is a valid and legit letter since all TM Exchanges are now 100% NGN packet switch.Therefore for an area with HSBB access, there's no needed to maintain circuit-switched architecture in the same exchange.

So if you are Streamyx user, you can now enjoy at least UniFi Lite with cheaper price and higher speed.While for user with telephony service only (DEL) , you will be migrated to VOBB service (1Play) with the same number.

Are you sure about that? Even the smaller and cincai exchange like my area are NGN based? When I saw the exchange building size, I don't think it can host the modern equipment to support HSBB and SUBB at all. shakehead.gif

These 2 exchange will convert to full fiber, no more copper, so no more streamyx and Del telephone served from these 2 location.
Previously last 3 years it involved BUG (Batu Tiga) exchange.
Iinm not all exchange are NGN yet.
Normally for full HSBB support they will build new bigger building nearby old one.

FYI I called up TM on another matter and at the same time asked about the free upgrade.

They checked my eligibility and found no date listed for the upgrade. Within a week they arranged an appointment for the technicians to come. My area is Damansara Utama.

If I had just continued waiting patiently, I might never have gotten the upgrade.
