TP-LINK AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router Archer C7 (UNIFI & Maxis Fibre Support). This one good or not compare to dlink dr850L?

If it is Streamyx Lite, then you are screwed.

No, it's an old package, RM 60 (for that 384kbps speed ) + RM 10 call to nationwide (total RM 70 excluding GST).

Confirmed not Streamyx Lite because I have downloaded more than 20gb in just 5 days

It's RM 60 384kbps package, I don't know what it is being called, but confirmed not Streamyx Lite.

Supposely, that RM60 384Kbps package had free upgrade to 512kbps only. Since when TM is generous enough to upgrade it from 384Kbps to 1Mbps?

Wa lau so nice. I'm using 512kb RM66 for 11 years and TM never bother to give me upgrade. I would expect at least 1mb after so long, but nothing. end up I go upgrade myself.

He is just lucky man. No one can predict what TM want to do.

Some low-income TM customers already paid RM68+GST for 1mbps (RM88 for 4mbps). So TM can now remove 384kbps module at your area.

Maybe they are clearing old 384kbps/512kbps module like what Clarence said so they upgraded my package to 1mbps.

They keep calling me and ask me to upgrade to Unifi, I don't even bother to upgrade haha, maybe they fed up at the end and upgraded mine to 1mbps.

Go to TM and asking for termination...in 5 mins TM will upgrade ur acc to 1Mbps..

Why not upgrade to Unifi Lite at RM129/149? it is not productive to download 20GB in 5 days. 1mbps is not suitable for heavy downloaders.

That doesn't happen all the time. For all you know, the next 5 minutes the account really terminate and I do not want to apply 4g broadband line with limit to share with the whole house.

You paid RM66+RM25(rental) I assume. But 512k combo is cheaper at RM90 and telemarketer would have offered you to upgrade to 1mbps combo at RM100. And, if you are low-income and sub-urban users, you could ask for RM68 for 1mbps or RM88 for 4mbps.

Not going to upgrade since I am not the main user of this line, it's only for my grandparents to do light skype call/whatsapp call only (and other light tasks), I visited them and stayed there for 5 days last week for holiday, that's how I leeched 20gb

Did anyone receive phone call from TM saying they wanna cancel streamyx package coz they dun wan to service this package line anymore....

My sister receive a phonecall from 03-92127541 in regards to the above..together with the attached... We havent receive ours yet....suppose to be on the way...together with SMS

We are pretty disturb on this matter and would like someone to clarify on this matter...as the promo for 30Mbps - RM179 expires today.

My sister even called 100 on this matter...it seems they dont know about this matter...still make a report and suppose to come back to me during 7 working days.

What do you guys think? I honestly need advice

You are still able to subscribe 30Mbps for RM179 from agents so take your time to consider.
You could either:
1. Stop using Streamyx after 1 November 2017
2. Take your time to think about upgrading to Unifi

thanks for your reply but @johnlai says the letter is fake.

anyway, the above letter is not mine. the lady just whatsapp me the sample of those received it. Supposingly my letter is on the way....

anyway, i will just ignore it...until i receive black and white...and i already make a report on this matter via 100 and email. will see what is Telekom reply on this matter because the CS at 100 doesnt know about this matter.

According to Broadband Improvement Plan 2017, TM may offer Streamyx users to upgrade to 10mbps, which I assume it will be Unifi Lite. You can now migrate to Unifi Lite at RM129(+GST) and terminate Streamyx.

What I know is TM will be gradually decommission copper wire for area with Unifi coverage. Whether the letter is true or not it requires further confirmation.
