Any alternative charger u guys use?

Guys,

I recently bought LG 27UD88 for my 2016 13" MBP with touch bar. Somehow the signal doesn't pick up by the monitor via USB-C (but it charge). The "Displays" only shown display of the MBP itself.

Tried with USB-C cable comes with monitor as well as the one of MBP charger. No luck.

However, when I connect it with HDMI, it works.

Wonder what's happening, was it cable or setting problem?

same here.. I bought LG 29UM59a... When i connect usb c cable from monitor to my macbook..it will only charge.. but not display out..

but when i connect my note 8 to the same usb cable .. the monitor ask do i want to switch to USB C displayport ...

so i think it has something to do with the macbook usb c port...

No, but I bought Apple's 61W charger from Lazaada for RM234, RM209 after vouchers. Merchant is mycable.my. Looks original. I can't tell. It's US plug though.

sifus any advice whether to get 2016 or 2017 year non touch bar macbook pro 13? 2016= 256gb storage while 2017= 128gb with upgraded hardware,also a minor improvement on keyboard

both have the same price tag, mainly wondering if theres really a big difference in term of performance

Get the 256GB one if you're low on budget. 128GB rarely do anything nowadays.

Get original Apple one. Works the best for me. Get a USBC + USBA pen drive as well. Come in VERY handy when you need to transfer files.
If you need SD or what slot, get from Taobao. It works pretty reliably.

I using the MBP 2016 TB 15 for one year d. Only the USBC original Apple one works best.

Need advice from the sifus here, i want to buy a MacBook Pro for my coding job more on php, html, css stuff. The 2016 mbp seems to be a good deal rm5499 256gb storage but the new 2017 mbp starts from rm5999 128gb storage.

In dilemma which one to choose.

Just got my first MacBook Pro 13 with touch bar (late 2016) for Rm6949 at All IT. Hopefully it will serve me well 😄 moving from Windows to Mac
