checked on Apple Malaysia website, they provide more choices for MacBook Pro, while checked on websites for Machines, Switch, MacStudio, EpiCenter limited choices.

Example:
in Apple Malaysia website, for 15" MBP with TB, u can choose 2.6GHz or 2.9GHz i7 proc, R9 Pro 450/460 GPU, 256/512/1T/2T SSD..

How was the experience for purchasing online through Apple Malaysia?

or am i mistaken that Machines also provide these choices in their physical shops?

Am a Windows user ever since i touched computer, MacOS capabilities and reviews piqued my interest to try out MacOS.

Purchased via the Apple Malaysia! smile.gif Very satisfied with their service. I get free exchange (DHL came and pick up to replace one new one for me ) because the first one have some very minor defects (which I'm very sure machines wouldn't change at all)
Machines do not provide BTO as well, only stock configuration.
My one is the 2.7 460 1TB variation

You will see the estimated delivery date once you place the order smile.gif I placed it during launch, about 1 month, now should be around 1 week for a custom order.

I just tested Innergie PowerGear 45w USB C charger with the base macbook pro 2016 non touch bar, it works but with a caveat..

if you connect the charger directly to the macbook, it will not work, but if you connect to a usb c hub with powerdelivery.. it will work and charge at the rate of 40w.. which i find good enough to charge ..

so now i just leave the hub and innergie powergear in the office.. ori apple charger at home..

i have a single cable docking in the office.. connect the 1 usb c cable..i have hdmi out, usb A hub, and power .. awesome..

how long does it take to fully charge compare to original apple 61w charger?

based on my observation , not much difference.. probably slight slower but not that slow that you would notice.. to me is acceptable because of the convenience of not having to carry the ori charger back n forth ..

You can try SkinPlus Malaysia at Ikano Power Centre (IPC) mall for the skin which they can apply for you.

I wonder if this charger is able to charge the MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar at all? If it can charge, albeit at a slower speed, I can actually still consider it. hmm.gif

Perhaps you can give a call to the various outlets of Mac Studio. I normally call before I visit to ensure stock availability.

hey, i want ask about payment with credit card on Apple Malaysia. is it going to be by installment or what?
i never done any purchase on Apple Malaysia before.

By default total sum is paid.
If you want to pay by installment, you can make the order and then call your card Centre.
Different banks may have different policies.
I've just asked last Saturday, Maybank offers 3% (current promotion) of the sum for 6 months installment and 9% for more than 12 months installment, which is completely not worth.
Authorized resellers do offer 0% installment, but you will have to perchase Apple Care together.

aiks.... coz eyeing macbook pro but authorized resellers only have 2 configs 256 and 512gb storage

Yes, it is too much.
I guess you should find your luck at other banks.
I've just placed order last Saturday. I'm okay with the 256GB basic one, but the authorized resellers do not offet student price, and if I'd to pay by installment, I must get the apple care worth RM900+...
That made me order it online. Eventually I paid RM6917 for 256GB SSB with upgraded ram to 16GB.

not necessarily so. if you go to Thunder for instance, you can do instalment without any additional purchase. you might need to pay merchant fee on their behalf for certain type of cards/banks though.
