Just a quick question about Webe mobile, since first post already stated it can be used with a usb lte dongle that directly connect to a pc without any issue, just wondering which is the best usb lte dongle to be used? can share the exact model?

Thanks.

The best one is from Telekom Malaysia itself. It is TMgo D- Link DWM-221. This modem is truly dial-up type modem, not ndis or virtual ethernet type like you will find on almost new and modern huawei modem.

Happy Finding.

Tested. No.
As need to set phone as Hotspot in order to connect to Chromecast and this is consider as tethering.

it can work. you just need the right methods. brows.gif

Here, try this:
1. Connect your webe connection to your computer. (don't care how you do it, just make sure your PC is using the webe connection) whistling.gif
2. Make sure your Chromecast and your PC are within the same LAN
3. Make sure you have installed the latest Chrome browser version and use the built-in Cast option
4. Use any media streaming service you want to cast it to your Chromecast. I've tested iFlix, Twitch and AnimeFTW.

Note that Youtube and Viki don't seem to work as it forces your Chromecast to connect to the streaming servers directly. I'm guessing that services with full fledged Android TV apps will behave similarly. Enjoy! thumbsup.gif

when 3g is faster than 4G.

Bintawa Kuching.. used to have 10Mbps+ on 4G but lately webe seems performing worst.

i experienced this too, it's not much of a concern since it will still allow you to connect, just not optimized or lacking some Apple specific services like Facetime/iMessage. It's just an annoying message to get users to nag their service provider and have them certify their networks with Apple. If webe wants to stay competitive in the market, they will eventually have to do it. They just need to make sure that they comply to all Apple's requirements.
