QUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Jan 9 2017, 10:34 AM) I've reported about GDEX's incompetence to SKMM. I received a call from their HQ last week apologizing for the issue. I have her a good lecture about the incompetence of their branch and the petrol cost and time I had to spend to drive to the branch (about 30km from my home). She said they will further investigate the issue. Reporting to SKMM is my only option to address my displeasure towards GDEX since I fear the legal risk of throwing eggs at their outlet. SKMM = Suruhanjaya Komunikasi & Multimedia Malaysia GDEX = GD Express Are you sure reporting Gdex to SKMM.? Gdex is postal service or telco service? Or I'm totally retard to understand this thing. |

Call maxis customer service and ask details decline for mnp. 2. When everything cleared, contact webe chat and ask them to resubmit the mnp. This already happened to me, and now everything is OK mnp my second webe line from maxis prepaid. CODE RM0.00 webe: Uh-oh. QUOTE(leonard23 @ Jan 24 2017, 05:45 PM) Just a quick question about Webe mobile, since first post already stated it can be used with a usb lte dongle that directly connect to a pc without any issue, just wondering which is the best usb lte dongle to be used? can share the exact model? The best one is from Telekom Malaysia itself. It is TMgo D- Link DWM-221. This modem is truly dial-up type modem, not ndis or virtual ethernet type like you will find on almost new and modern huawei modem.Thanks. Happy Finding. |

Xiaomi redmi note 3 pro. Speed test on WeBe@mobile
If you didn't get this speed, it's time to leave webe. This post has been edited by mayang: Jan 30 2017, 12:15 AM |

If anyone wants to subscribe to webe, make sure your minimum data usage is 100Gb. If below than that, it's better to choose another telco.
Now, many telco offer 1Gb for RM3 for daily plan. My calculation example as below. You pay webe RM84 for unlimited data. With this price you got 28Gb with maxis and celcom daily plan RM3 = 1Gb If you are burung hantu type, with RM84 you got 120Gb as RM7 for 10Gb. (promotion time RM7=20Gb) With other telco, you don't get speed capped, so it will save your download time also no tethering restriction. If you only use 5-20Gb monthly, stay away from webe. Don't get frustrated with problems. |

QUOTE(fat16 @ Feb 1 2017, 10:10 AM) Bro mayang, your calculator is broken. You are right. My opinion just to express that other telco also can give cheap data per/Gb. Examples : RM7=10Gb burung hantu or YouTube weekly from celcom. That mean 70sen per/Gb. Nowadays standard cost per/Gb in Malaysia is RM3. Actually celcom can give retail price RM1 per/Gb but it not implemented, just on promotion days.burung hantu @ internet awal pagi canot used during normal hours. Back to webe, we pay RM84 monthly and apply to the cost of RM1 per/Gb, we got 84Gb. This is my reason if anyone use below than 100Gb per month with webe, better to choose another telco. This opinion only valid for users with heavy data usage per month and use webe as for internet data only. Not for someone with heavy calls. Just talk, no serious. |

QUOTE(Algaefarmer @ Feb 1 2017, 07:03 PM) Using huawei mifi for rm59 webe bb, only can join 50311 and 503152, when in my celcom area can not connect, is this normal ? When webe promo RM59 = 10Gb + free 20Gb end this 28th Feb, it will become more expensive than celcom RM50 = 10Gb monthly. You save RM9 on Celcom for 10Gb plan. Time to say goodbye to webe. |

QUOTE(syahpian @ Feb 2 2017, 02:42 PM) No different at all. Both own by Telekom Malaysia.502 = mobile country code (MCC) for Malaysia 011 = mobile network code (MNC) for Telekom Malaysia 153 = mobile network code for P1, but now also own by Telekom Malaysia. From my experience, 153 more stabil and fast. Both used by webe and tmgo. 50211 / 502153 = webe 4g 502019 = webe 3g,2g on celcom tower. This post has been edited by mayang: Feb 2 2017, 03:25 PM |

QUOTE(syahpian @ Feb 2 2017, 03:33 PM) I think 502153 only for 4g. 3g,2g only on 502019If you set your connection only LTE, you will not receive any call or sms, but if set to LTE preferred, then 3g,2g will be available. When in call/sms mode, it use 502019 connection. |

QUOTE(colt45 @ Feb 2 2017, 03:56 PM) guys..interested on the webe broadband while waiting for unifi to cover my area.. It depends on your setup and use. By using phone as modem/router, the battery will not last longer, or maybe you need to always on ac adapter to phone. This also considered as portable, can move anywhere. This is ok if signal in your area is good (below) - 85dbiany modem to recommend? or better use old phone and tether from there? But if signal over - 110dbi, you need to use a modem that support external antenna for better performance. And it will cost you hundreds to setup. QUOTE(apache79 @ Feb 10 2017, 08:10 PM) I have subscribed to webe broadband and purchased a mifi modem router. Setup the apn to webe but it still cannot connect.. the mifi detected the sim as webe and signal strengh is full. Maybe sim not activated yet. Or try to use dial number/phone number as *99**1# if *99# not working.Any idea why? What do you put in the authentication type, username and password? |
