First page mention

VPN is part of ways to bypass tethering. So it is not advisable to open talk on this thread.

Noted, though i was asking as I use it to access my plex and NAS stuff from home.

Anyway, someone told me 3g network speeds are capped because webe have to pay celcom when using data for using celcom's network, hence why many activities are throttled

Their 4g network is entirely theirs, so some leeway is given with the data biggrin.gif

Before webe running the services, of course there are an agreement with celcom to use their tower and network. Throttling is not about how much the data usage, but to make sure other telcos can survive within competition especially Celcom itself. Celcom still make money by renting the towers to other telcos (MVNO) etc. Please note in Malaysia there are thousands of illegal towers, no license from MCMC and no payment to local government and still they make money by renting the towers.
