For anyone porting from UMOBILE to WEBE, how long it approximately takes until you can use new webe sim card? I was informed by WEBE they just closed my delivery order and have filed port in request to UMOBILE and it may take 3-5 working days..Sooo long.
*
normal mnp process la. they cannot promise 1 day, then later umobile got issue, cannot meet 1 day liao biggrin.gif

if fast and without issue from umobile, will take as fast as 1 day.

for me, i MNP from Maxis to Webe, already 5 working days, still not successful porting out yet.  doh.gif
*
like i said lor, usual standard mnp SLA (service level agreement) to release is up to 5 days. all telco use this number to manage customer's expectation.

if they overpromise, they'll getting screwed by us for taking longer than promised. laugh.gif

in previous webe thread, i did say that telco play dirty tricks (e.g. wrong IC number) to delay mnp when it's ending quarter, e.g. march, june, september, december. this is to keep their subs reported higher when closing quarter.

hi, how u guys opinion on webe speed?

my area got 4G coverage based on Webe website, will it be ok?
*
depends. new telco, coverage expanding, more to improve.

only way is to signup yourself and try.

same like other telco, some area fast some area slow. this is wireless broadband anyway.

*
i bought one redmi note 4 from lazada for net price of under RM650 after discount and cashback from cc.

works great with webe broadband and able to hotspot out flawlessly. normal usage with webe mobile works fast as well.

Now have to pay some more 108 ringgit for less than 30 days.

can you explain more on the timeline?

1) when did u order?
2) when did u receive the SIM? delivery or walk-in to collect SIM card?
3) when did you really first use the SIM, plugged into phone and use?

For the prorated, maybe it's start counting from the date you bought this webe plan? I can see you pay on 1/12/2016 using m2u.

For the advance, just like someone said before, webe use prepaid system, pay first then use.
*
u get charged first before use. you belum pay lagi.

bill date is 1 Jan. due date is 22 Jan. u got 21 more days to pay after bill date (whatever is charged on this bill).

Only band 5, NO band 38 and 40. Not worth buying.
*
that's why i wrote before, next best multi-frequency modem would be

Huawei E3276s-920

* 4G Band 38/40 (TDD 2300/2600MHz)
* 3G UMTS/HSPA+ 900/2100MHz
* GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz

at least this modem supports the higher throughput frequency from webe, not tmgo devices which is limited to band 5/850mhz (slow throughput)

for mifi, i dont think there's any available here, unless webe start to bring their devices. hmm.gif

but this model no 4G support for celcom digi maxis umobile  blush.gif
need LTE band 3, 5, 7, 8, 40  cool2.gif
TMgo can nego with dlink, huawei and zte for bundle device. let see how long webe can do that.
*
dont expect tmgo liao, their product maybe merged with webe for wireless broadband future roadmap hmm.gif

problem with mifi/usb modems are supported frequencies. even huawei E3276s itself has many submodels.

i guess this is the usual chicken-and-egg situation. there's no market demand (yet) to force device manufacturers to offer more frequencies.

I'm register Webe via website 31/12/2016
received Sim 3/1/2017
received Yes or No port out to leave from current telco msg  6/1/2017 (today)
let say my MNP progress is successful and done by tomorrow 7/1/2017
and i put my sim at phone the next day 8/1/2017
so my question
1) my bill start from 31/12/2016 or else?
2) do i still need to pay bill for this current month?
before the price back to normal RM83.74 for upcoming next2 month

**previous telco all using prepaid, so i really have no idea what is so called prorated, advance bill and so on
any help? notworthy.gif
*
bill is on the 1 of each month. for you, your 1st bill will be on 1 Feb.

on this bill, got few charges:

1) prorated monthly fee from 8 Jan to 31 Jan. This is your current month charges since activation on 8 Jan until 31 Jan.
2) advance monthly fee from 1 Feb to 28 Feb. Basically you are charged 1 month in advance first.
3) repeat same thing the #webenow discount. got prorated and advance as well.
4) additional charges, such as roaming or idd call charge, which are not covered under this unlimited thingy.

what you going to pay by 22 Feb (this is payment due date, which is 21 days after bill date on 1 Feb bill) is.....

advance payment that you paid during registration = RM106 minus all the charges above.

FYI, your plan will remain perpetually RM79 monthly from 1 Mar onwards (cuz 1 Feb bill got proration, that is why higher).

I've been contacting and complaining to Webe numerous time (online chat and call),and I'm calling it WEBE SUCKS, BIG TIME!
*
mnp yes/no answer is from your current telco, should ask them.

webe doesnt even get the trigger from your telco to release your number, yet.

yup, this is like special offer to existing tm customers to signup webe. no need to pay anything upfront, just use and until first bill then pay.
