Btw, out of curiosity, is there any OZ med school taking in students with SAM TER 95?

=============
no........last intake, all above 98 only, and some 99+ also no offer........

there are few places nowadays, and with so many international applicants, many with 98+ 99+. they don't have to look at those below 98.......

I'm self-sponsored, haha. would love to do PMS twinning to OZ.
couldn't get a place in the public unis (got 4As out of 5 subs in stpm but not a 4 pointer though tongue.gif)

MMMC is not that bad, Melaka GH is a good teaching hospital.

If you have a choice, better take full course KMC Manipal, as the syllabus is USMLE oriented.
MMMC is not bad, but it pales in comparison to KMC Manipal. If i were to be given a choice again, i'll definitely choose KMC.

KMC would cost additional 150k. I don't think it's worth it.

Wow, are you serious? Suddenly so expensive de?
4 years ago when i first joined MMMC, KMC's tuition fee was cheaper than MMMC by RM80K.

yea it cost 135k USD for foreign student. A portion of the fees is used to pay their local student fees. Yea, we could learn more from the rich clinical exposure under KMC but staying there for 6 years, really makes you think twice.

Well for me, i like Manipal better than Melaka. Also, the deputy dean in Melaka is an ass. biggrin.gif

Everyone from mmmc said they would rather stay in Manipal than Melaka. haha.
I know him, Dr. Razak. He was one of the three interviewers who interviewed me.

Hey there, long time no see, how life in NUS?
Btw, is hypermax, not hyperax (sounds like hyperass biggrin.gif )
well, total school fee for KMC is near 400k. I seriously dun think that's worth for an Indian school.
Also, one can always take up course for USMLE after he/she graduates. Cheaper too.

Yeah, entry into NUS is very competitive, in fact more competitive than that of UK, and maybe OZ.

hmm, can i ask right, is the 2 years HO+ 3 years MO compulsory for MMMC student? or u can get out of it anytime u got an offer elsewhere, eg US residency.

wat u mean? u r waiting for rejects? hmm, normally there r abt 2 or 3 rejects in year 1 tho.

btw, there r less places allocated to foreign students in both NUS and HKU, so it's quite competitive. for HKU, i heard less than 2 foreign student each cohort.

Yup, it's the same for all local grads, no matter which college you graduated from. Yes, you can get out anytime you want for the offer. However, if you wanna practice in malaysia, you will have to come back and resume the gov service.

you will be assigned by the jpa to the moh or moe, and they will assign you to the hospitals in need of housemans.....your request will usually NOT be considered, service needs and demand takes precedent over your preference......

if they allow your preference, there will be nobody going to sandakan, sibu, kt etc..........
