Have you try restart your Astro box? Check your connection between LAN cable and the router.

From Astro about us website:

MBNS was granted a renewable 25-year broadcasting licence for the provision of broadcasting services in Malaysia, with exclusivity on DTH satellite TV services until 2017 and non-exclusivity until 2022.

Non exclusive until 2022. Me not faham sweat.gif laugh.gif

That means the channels on astro can be carried by other operators too and new players may come in . Anyway that will not make much difference cos astro has several exclusive JV agreements with some channels ! The nation has been bored with those same channels since 1995,so who cares if other players carry the same! In other words there is nothing new which is going to happen with Ringgit thrashing to new lows,there wont be new players hmm.gif With Elections soon rumours all it takes is a big donation from asstro to bn/umnu and get another 10 yrs! biggrin.gif

Today I just by pass the road and saw the Astro Miri here.
I just walk in to pay the astro bill and saw the terminal machine all "temporary down". shakehead.gif

Go to counter to make payment and the astro staff need to "verify" the IC owner 1st before make a payment.
Do you all come across for this to verify? unsure.gif

I just feel curious customers have money to pay your bill, but why need IC to verify before make payment?
Kinda stupid it's seems like only owner can arrange the payment.

Hmm... First time hear about requiring IC for verification to pay bills. Why not pay online or something? Or consider sign up for auto debit so that you don't have to hassle to pay Astro bills on time... It's very troublesome if you did not pay the bills by the due date, your Astro account is being suspended and might have to pay RM20 for reconnection fee.

Because IP mode made my HD channel unwatchable, when switch to hybrid, they change to satelite mode. Any ideas how to make hybrid works?

Well u can pay via bank CDM..
If not mistaken, my parents pay at BSN CDM..

You're right, I can pay it online.
However, I just by-pass the highway and saw astro branch not very far at there. So I just pusing inside the shoplot and pay the bill sekali.

So back home I not need to log-in astro portal (stupid slow portal) to pay the bill.
I won't be sign up auto debit for this monopoly company and not believe their bill system.
So normally I pay accurate amount to them.

About Aniplus On Demand i don't know it permanent or temporary.

You're already using hybrid mode cuz since u can switch from IP mode to Satellite.

But I don't understand how IP mode can made HD channels not watchable....

You go home>Settings>STB Diagnostics
Look the Operation mode, is it "DTH" or "IP"?
DTH means satellite

What error message appears on your screen? Is it Services currently not available (SCNA) or Network currently not available (NCNA) or Services currently not available (H-SCNA)? Check carefully the error code like SCNA, NCNA or H-SCNA when tuning to the channels that you can't watch.

Sorry... unwatchable here means the channel are pixelated. If i turn to non hd channel it is fine. And recording makes channels including non hd pixelated.

I try to download Aniplus content on PVR stb using my mobile data & hotspot to stb.

One episode 23 minute cost you 1GB data doh.gif
Maybe because Astro using 8Mbps rate for HD channel and OD content. laugh.gif

That 1GB data i can already use it to download 2 anime from website in 1080p HD qualiy. biggrin.gif

Hmm.. Looks that you need to contact Astro IPTV department and file a complaint about this. You tried restart your router?

When you're on HD channel and you experience that pixelation, is the "Set Top Box Operating Mode" at home>Settings>STB Diagnostics, is it in DTH or IP? At least you know which mode is causing the pixelation issue.

There is only 1 choice you PM to astro Malaysia by facebook by providing your astro account number, smart card number and full name (if I'm not wrong)

The responding time depend because sure a lot of people inquiry and complain previous month, so normally astro customer service need to follow up for that 1st..
