i doubt they would help, since he did not "give" business to Samsung Malaysia. biggrin.gif

not sure if Singapore Samsung would be able to help.
i would recommend you report to Samsung Pay and bank regarding this anomaly, so they can fix it.

they would need your transaction time, merchant location info etc..
*
sure got some service charge one icon_idea.gif

Turn on data/WiFi is for Samsung Pay to receive notification (capture the transaction), if you're aiming to join any contest from Samsung Pay.
If you're not intended to receive notification nor joining the contest, this action is not required.

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 07:28 PM)
actually you don't need turn on data, but there  is a limit on how many transaction it would approved.

if i am not mistaken 5 if not 10.

it's ok during low or no signal, but don't purposely turn off data smile.gif Samsung pay constantly sync and renew the token ( not very sure on the renew token part )

I see thanks for the info biggrin.gif

NFC will be automatically turned on by Samsung Pay after authentication completed.
You'll feel the "vibration" for 30 sec.

Mydin - excellence - 1 seconds to print receipt..
Mr DIY - good - around 3 second to print receipt
Mcdonalds - good - around 5 seconds or more to print receipt, dunno why take so much time...
KFC - Semua mesin rosak setakat ni yang dikujungi... <-better tutup kedai...hahaha even mcd can improve from not accepting card to accepting card...

others, some didnt have nfc but see the terminal same as mcd(which is supposed have nfc/wave function). Dunno to use MST, not yet try...

really hope all merchant can follow like mydin in term of speed... but that my experiences la, maybe differ from you all...

p/s: 1 more transaction to go... sure battery pack finish already...

Guys, just wondering can the same CC register under 2 different Samsung Pay account?

I'm using my wife CC in my S7E for Samsung Pay. Thinking of register my wife A9 Pro with her own CC for Samsung Pay as well....

I had the same issue at kfc all their machine always down.  Pay wave mostly works but the challenge or fun is mst.  If they solve this we can practically use our phone to use on any credit card terminal
*
basically need to wait apple pay coming to malaysia... and then all mechant suddenly accept pay wave...

i thought when government push pin and pay/mydebit(with mandatory wave/nfc technology) sure all merchant update their terminal or atleast pushed by banks to merchant update their terminals... but still malaysian businessman typical minded...

Nothing beats Samsung pay MST even apple pay or Google pay is here.

But I really love the idea of wireless payment.

Now just wonder when will touch and go allow it to be used on our phone. Transaction to be deduct directly rather than reload.
*
chances are very very low, by allowing it to be used on the phone, their revenue on the card sales would drop

same goes for apple pay, apple charge a sum on every transaction to bank, i don't think bank would like that.

For Samsung or Google, they push wide spread adoption by even subsidizing it and/or running contests/promos/partnership.

But for Apple, their business model is exclusivity and closed ecosystem; meaning you want to use my service; I need to get something from it; a slide of it. This is Apple that we're talking about; they're trying to distinguish themselves.

They don't earn from the physical card because you can return to get refund. They earn from vendor or merchant. That why parking charge u additional for the services or when reload.

I hate the business model for T&G.
When the wide push that they're aiming in Klang Valley with the so called recent success from Bangsar pilot, they have the same mindset or business model like Apple.
For instance, take the toll usage for instance, it's like forcing people to use the system.

1 card RM10, expired after 1 year if no use, forced buy new one.

2 years validity if no problem.

imagine if there is 50000 card expired or faulty need replacement in a year, thats 500k

then you have deposit that cannot be refund, thats additional revenue.

in singapore, the transit card validity is 5 years,

If you put NFC button in the notification shortcuts (quick access), you'll see that the icon turns the blue once authentication completes.
