I had the same issue at kfc all their machine always down.  Pay wave mostly works but the challenge or fun is mst.  If they solve this we can practically use our phone to use on any credit card terminal

1 card RM10, expired after 1 year if no use, forced buy new one.

2 years validity if no problem.

imagine if there is 50000 card expired or faulty need replacement in a year, thats 500k

then you have deposit that cannot be refund, thats additional revenue.

in singapore, the transit card validity is 5 years,

in a way yes, but who would wanna really put in mykad, risking of lossing the mykad when everyday take in and out .

i mean in general, when people just buy the transit card, that directly translate to revenue loss to TnG if they ever go ahead with samsung pay, which would stop them to even thinking about implement mobile payment.

even their own system they dont implement, they implement mobile wallet instead, which is a different thing than transit card

So, the usage counter limit can only be reset by swiping the card physically?

Yea not  every shop is samsung pay ready. Went to old town told me minimum is rm30 only can use. Samsung pay shops even rm1 can use.

Certain machine will ask for ccv some don't some will ask you to sign.

I was at Mr. Diy when I wanna pay with my phone the cashier look at me like I am hacker or thief. When she ask me for my card I said i wanna use my phone using Samsung pay . The two cashier keep say no no cannot. Keep say cannot use I even said let me try. So I just leave items worth rm300 on table and told them I don't have cash and left. They are " u know i know " lazy and inexperience when the shops around that diy most can use Samsung pay

Some shop like you said let me try some end up show card error on MST. Some that worked will be standing there amazed.

Finally...

While doing this, 4 of my transactions didn't appear (still hasn't, a day later) in the Samsung Pay app even though the payment went through. They were definitely 5 minutes apart, and my mobile data was working.
