Typical Malaysian mindset, not wanting to try new things when other developed country alreadt move forward. The mobile payment have been proof to be more secured than the traditional plastic card yet we keep deny the fact. When it finally become the mainstream baru nak huha huha why Malaysia so slow.

Maybe you should research more, samsung, android and apple pay all didn't store credit card details in phone. And when platic card and phone are loss, it is the plastic card that will give the theif easier to use it before you dissable it

You might be right it is easier to hack a phone than i know, but by that logic no one should use digital payment even on online shop or phone app store. But if that is the reason for you to stop to use the technology, then nothing more i can say... for me i'll stick and try this new thing to find out if it is as good as it claim, at least i can say it is a trash with solid point when i encounter the details leak or it fail most of the time, someone have to try it to find the truth the hard way...

it works flawlessly when it is supported though

No need paywave support. Any credit card terminal will do except petrol station and other terminals that requires to slot-in the credit card.

Those ordinary terminals that just swipe credit card will work (99%....Depends on the terminal communication with Visa)

Attached Image

I hate queuing behind lady (sometimes guys too..) looking for cents in the handbag/purse to pay exact amount...

actually it can work with normal terminal that doesnt have paywave
as long as the terminal can allow to swipe the card then it can be use
same ways as paywave, just put the phone near the swipping point

No need to ask. Just inform to pay using CC.

Here's the typical scenario:
Me : Pay by card yaaa...
Cashier: Amount is RMxx.xx. ... (Waiting...) (Waiting...) (Waiting...)... Sir, may I have ur CC.
Me : Errmmm, I'm paying using Sammy Pay....
Cashier: Sorry sir, we don't accept Sammy Pay service....Only physical CC...We hv old terminal...
Me: Don't worry, just treat it like ordinary CC payment. Do the same steps in that terminal....Can...?
Cashier: OK.. let's try... (Face really kan-chiong...LOL...)
Me : (Tap the terminal...Sammy pay acknowledged check-mark....Meaning it goes thru successfully...)
Cashier: O-M-G!!!... I didn't know it works with this old terminal...
Me: So, next customer pay using Sammy Pay, u know what to do yaa....

It's very sad many merchants don't know the existence of Sammy Pay service. They worry we hack their CC terminal...LOL...
