QUOTE(~Joey~ @ Mar 14 2017, 06:16 PM) Actually, you are still able to buy a 1k TV with Samsung Pay... But there is a trick here: I think it is RM250 for a good reason. The service is at its infancy, and they are not confident of security hacks yet. Once run smoothly then will be increased. 1. Pay RM250 with Samsung Pay 2. Pay any amount (not sure if there is a minimum) WITH the credit card (use the PIN payment) that you have registered and used for Samsung Pay 3. Pay your next RM250 with Samsung Pay 4. Repeat until satisfied I'm pretty sure this will work because I've tested it... That time, I was so frustrated with Maybank CC Customer Service and gave them a call to get them rectify this issue for me... And based on their explanation, Samsung Pay basically uses PayWave and this limit reset applies to PayWave once you have made a payment with PIN payment within the day itself... However, I found this limitation to be pointless anyway... Hopefully, they will increase the PayWave limit as soon as possible... Also better for competitions, if not all the rich Datin buy LV handbags only will win. Now Smartags already been hacked, if you leave Smart tag at your car dashboard, there is a machine which can hack all your balance and you will be left with zero. However, for the point on better competitions, even with this trick, everybody can exploit it to get a better chances on winning so I will consider this as a flaw...Also better for competitions, if not all the rich Datin buy LV handbags only will win. Yes, it is not possible to curb at this point. They may set more conditions for competitions next time though. |

FYI guys - ace hardware for now temporarily doesn't accept samsung pay. I went to dpulze ace hardware and they told me that some guy paid with samsung pay previously at other branch (apparently it was me cos when I mentioned I managed to successfully pay at IOI Mall ace hardware branch, he told me that they're temporarily suspending from accepting samsung pay).
a bit surprised that such a big company doesn't accept it or didnt prepare for this. interestingly, i went to caring to get some stuff and they not only accepted samsung pay - they had instructions / a "manual" for it (which probably came from samsung which is a one page flyer but nicely laminated one). well done caring! This Malaysia pharmacy is even more up to date than a giant store like Ace Hardware. But then again, probably due to their sheer size (ace hardware), things trickle down much slower... i guess they're suspending accepting spay because of probably the way the funds are received or something..they're probably working that out...although i don't see how that would be so different than just paying with a regular card. |

At McDonalds drive through, just tell them that you wanna pay by card and they will hand over their card machine with a big handle attached to it then you just tap your phone on the card machine. (You don't get to hold the card machine) |

Anyone know any handphone merchant in PJ area willing to accept Samsung Pay?
I believe that most of the terminal in the market support Samsung Pay. Just that the cashier don't want to accept Samsung Pay. |

Went to Maxis Center @ Sunway Pyramid.
The payment counter head told me that their machine are not upgraded to accept Samsung Pay. Thumb up maxis and i walked away. I'm not in hurry to pay my bill anywhere. |
