Actually, you are still able to buy a 1k TV with Samsung Pay... But there is a trick here:

1. Pay RM250 with Samsung Pay
2. Pay any amount (not sure if there is a minimum) WITH the credit card (use the PIN payment) that you have registered and used for Samsung Pay
3. Pay your next RM250 with Samsung Pay
4. Repeat until satisfied

I'm pretty sure this will work because I've tested it... That time, I was so frustrated with Maybank CC Customer Service and gave them a call to get them rectify this issue for me... And based on their explanation, Samsung Pay basically uses PayWave and this limit reset applies to PayWave once you have made a payment with PIN payment within the day itself...

However, I found this limitation to be pointless anyway... Hopefully, they will increase the PayWave limit as soon as possible...

I agree to your point on the security purposes... However, for the point on better competitions, even with this trick, everybody can exploit it to get a better chances on winning so I will consider this as a flaw...

If you are using Maybank card, the default max limit is RM250 per day... Not sure if the bank allow us to increase the max limit amount now

The very first time I tried purchasing something above RM250 with SPay was during the launch of SPay... Now maybe they allow it I guess
