QUOTE(Najmods @ Jun 16 2008, 11:11 PM) Alright thanks for the info, currently I have no intention of doing so Weird, the LME49720 becomes more and more listenable now, Katie Melua never sounded this good before I don't think I need to change the opamp again if this continue that was probably the so called 'burn-in' effect... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « burn-in by the heat of your soldering iron after few times of desolder/solder This post has been edited by coolkwc: Jun 16 2008, 11:14 PM

QUOTE(Najmods @ Jun 17 2008, 09:41 PM) Now my card acting weird, right channel all of the sudden go totally silent. I check for continuity but everything is fine but when I run it there is no sound at all from right channel maybe too much 'burn-in' how about take the output directly from opamp? QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 17 2008, 09:52 PM) maybe too much 'burn-in' how about take the output directly from opamp? No, still no sound But I found the culprit, a small SMD resistor is loose, removed it and I directly connect to output without opamp with the wire. Surprisingly it sings well, and no sign of excessive DC offset. Very weird I hope it stays that way Gosh, I though this card is a gonner for sure

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 17 2008, 10:14 PM) you means now you bypass an opamp again? Yup, and this time it worked well. No sign of excessive DC offset, I measure it it exactly the same as with opamp, around 190mV

Hmm, maybe....anyway I need to use the decoupling caps, the DC offset is too much. Found some good quality capacitor that is small enough I still waiting for my opamp to arrive so I leave the space bare first ready for new one
