Don't have big budget at the moment. Roughly Rm500 for MX5021 or Logitech Z2300 at year end. This post has been edited by 168257061: May 11 2008, 08:19 PM

QUOTE(Najmods @ May 11 2008, 09:49 AM) In theory it should makes it sound better, but it all depends on song, bitrate and your gear. If you asked me, all these are useless. If you want the best quality, buy original CD and rip them to lossless. If you don't have much money, try to look for lossless online QUOTE(coolkwc @ May 11 2008, 10:39 AM) hey guys....thanks alot for ur tips

Guys, if you are using Creative sound card products in Windows Vista and is having problem with driver support. Don't worry. Here's the solutions. I am quoting directly from our hero, Daniel K. SB X-Fi Series Installation Disc for Windows Vista/XP (Unofficial drivers)http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/bo...thread.id=32040SB Audigy series Vista Support Pack v2.15.0004EQ with Equalizerhttp://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/bo...thread.id=30403SB Live! series Vista Support Pack 2.10.0001Ahttp://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/bo...thread.id=30593The problem is with Creative who wants to maintain limited support of their products in Windows Vista. They blame Microsoft for removing the hardware layer acceleration and thus cripple their products where in fact, they wanted it that way in anticipation of a newer fully Vista-compatible product. With these modified drivers, Daniel K has re-enabled those features originally present and intact in Windows XP. I am using my trusty old Audigy 2 ZS and has restored almost full performance in Windows Vista. Except for hardware EAX (easily solved with Alchemy) and bugs with DD and DTS decoding. Anyway I'm more of a music listener. NOTEIf you have existing drivers already installed, remove it using the uninstall feature in add/remove programs. Then reboot in safe mode and run Driver Cleaner.NET (http://www.drivercleaner.net/). It will clear out everything related to Creative so you can start new. It will solve most driver installation related problem. This post has been edited by davidmak: May 13 2008, 09:45 AM

QUOTE(clawhammer @ May 13 2008, 11:05 AM) How about the YOUP-PAX drivers? Are they the same or different? I am not familiar with YOUP-PAX drivers especially when no documentation on what is fix and unfix is done. Need to install and try it out before telling. Daniel K's post seem to have a lot more information so I know what I am installing and what to expect. Have been using the drivers for some time now and its pretty successful except for the DD/DTS decoding (which isn't working on my setup surprisingly) and no Special EQ function when working in other than 2.1 channel mode. I can live with that because I am using Edifier S530D which is a 2.1. DD/DTS is done via my cyberlink playback software so I am still contented.
