Please allow me to join the club
 I just got an Elite Pro and pairing up with GMX-A2.1I have been using the onboard sound for quite some time and there were indeed differences after investing on this card. Btw, what is EAX effects in the Audio console? |

The mp3's is a bit crispier and nicer to listen with some Crytalizer turned on. I guess it's more of personal preference but anything above 50% makes the music sounds weird though.
Btw, do we really need to plug in the extra power for the X-Fi Elite Pro? I can run without the extra power now. |

However the review was done in 2005 so perhaps motherboards which are available today no longer have such problems I manage to run it fine but wondering if it's better to put the power connector. |

If you don't mind OEM stuffs, you can get the Fatality from Garage Sales. I think that's more worth it

What's the latest X-Fi drivers available currently? Btw, Daniel K just removed his modded drivers so I guess we'll have to live with stock original drivers from today onwards?

Yup, I saw this beta driver too and I'm on Vista32. Maybe you can post a review after you've installed
When I was using XP, the YouP-Pax gave a better and crispier sound over original Creative drivers. I'm not sure if it's my ears  |
