Any idea what's the Z replacement going to be? Or is it gonna be the same machine, but with newer processors and SSD drives?

Any help?

VAIO SR (with ATI gpu), VAIO Z. even Intel 4500MHD can run them well actually, with 2gb ram support.

newer processors, all with vista 64-bit, no SSD but SATA 7200rpm, and lid engraved with flower-look-alike design(only VGN-Z36GD/J).

finally got FW33GW. very satisfied. built in software such as vaio music box, movie story, dolby sound room, etc is very good and is a better deal than those laptop from other brands. it differentiates vaio from other laptops. screen is very nice and keyboard is a joy to type on. it runs cool too.

Agreed.
Summore the speed of the USB is not 2.0 !!
Shared speed. Can't even use one cable to run a external DVD drive, need power supply from two cable from the USB.

the vaio headphone slot is kinda hard to plug in when u 1st bought it. plug ur headphones harder and make sure it entered completely into the slot. vaio shouldn't have heat problem. maybe u check whether any processes running on high cpu?

to answer questions.. im using sony vaio sz-433.

the odd thing about it is when i plug it in all the way the balance is off. when its not all the way in, its not as loud, but sound is from both R and L. can be rectified by plugging and unplugging several times.

about heat issues, i am not sure, but might be the hot weather/ventilation as well. although sometimes on a flat surface can get really hot until it hurts to touch it. the highest cpu running process is dwm.exe (between 5-15 - normal?).

appreciate your inputs smile.gif
